Landform fengshui
Bounded along Yishun Ave 1 and positioned next to one another, the three new Yishun BTO estates will sit on the Southern Dragon, and be part of the fengshui formation of the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”.
The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has indeed benefited many well-known businessmen.
Whenever plum blossoms are present, there will be orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo. Magpies are particularly attracted to this combination and it is noteworthy that they can be “found” at the Orchid Country Club. Residents who stay near the country club shall be able to garner the positive energies brought forth by the magpies.

Exterior fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home. It is always worthwhile to do a physical site visit prior to your property purchase.
Located near the breezy Lower Seletar Reservoir as well as other nearby parks, Aranda Breeze @ Yishun, Miltonia Breeze @ Yishun and Vanda Breeze @ Yishun will be developed along Yishun Avenue 1 within a rather tranquil environment amidst nature.
Although one would need to take a bus to the nearest MRT station (Yishun/Khatib), the amenities in the vicinity are sufficient with food centres, schools and parks all within walking distance.
With their proximity to the Lower Seletar Reservoir, these three BTO developments will have units that face the reservoir, implying unblocked views. In fengshui, unblocked views are favoured as it represents the Red Phoenix, symbolising aspirations and a bright future.
Nevertheless, homeseekers should note the interim status of the Orchid Country Club. Some sites nearer to the reservoir have also been reserved for future high-rise residential developments, which may block one’s view from the reservoir.
It may be worthwhile to consider inner stacks at Miltonia Breeze @ Yishun or Vanda Breeze @ Yishun that face the proposed site for park – promising unblocked views of lush greenery.
Although Yishun is a non-mature town, these upcoming BTO developments will be surrounded by many existing and new high-rise residential buildings. The vicinity is also planned for high-rise future development. With several high-rise buildings densely packed together, there is greater likelihood of encountering conflicting conflicting forces (煞气) such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞).
The former occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. The latter occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure.
In fact, all three BTO estates consist of stacks that face each other directly – implying potential conflict points. Homeowners may want to take note of the distance between your stack and nearby buildings. Note, some stacks at Vanda Breeze @ Yishun look more well-spaced. If in doubt, seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
Next to Miltonia Breeze @ Yishun is a proposed site for a health and medical care facility. More information is required on the facility before we can deduce if it has any fengshui implications. Nevertheless, there seems to be quite a healthy distance from the estate. Homeowners who are concerned about the Yin influence can consider the inner stacks instead.
