With 4126 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats launched for sale on 28 February, the February 2024 HDB BTO consist of developments spread across eight projects in the housing estates of Bedok, Punggol, Choa Chu Kang, Queenstown, Hougang and Woodlands.
In this series of articles, we will take in-depth fengshui reviews on the upcoming BTO estates to assess their fengshui qualities and see if these estates really have good fengshui. Read on!
Bedok North Springs

Bounded by the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), Bedok North Street 3, and Bedok North Avenue 3, Bedok North Springs sits on the Eastern Dragon, and belongs to the favourable fengshui land formation known as “Golden Coins Falling to the Ground”, shaped by Bedok Reservoir – the symbolic source of wealth. This means that residents in Bedok are blessed with opportunities of windfall.
However, this formation is also accompanied with two tricky stars – namely the Tao Hua Romance and White Tiger stars – which underlie potential wealth loss. As such, one is advised to go by the book and stay down-to-earth.
Bedok South Bloom

Located along New Upper Changi Road and near The Marketplace @ 58, Bedok South Bloom sits on the Eastern Dragon, and is part of the favourable fengshui land formation known as “Golden Coins Falling to the Ground”, shaped by Bedok Reservoir – the symbolic source of wealth. This means that residents in Bedok are blessed with opportunities of windfall.
Matilda Riverside

Located next to the tranquil waters of the Punggol Reservoir, Matilda Riverside sits on the Eastern Dragon in one of Singapore’s crab lands, specifically resembling a “hairy crab”. The land formation here is known as the “Crab Suppressed by Rock” formation.
A crab land is symbolic of strength and vigour. Although highly driven to reach the top, the crab is prone to making rash decisions in its unyielding pursuit for success. Fortunately, it is held in place by a big rock. This means that residents in Punggol are controlled in their journey for progress, striking a harmonious balance at all times.

Located in northwestern Singapore, this upcoming BTO at Choa Chu Kang is right beside the Rail Corridor, which means unparalleled and unspoilt views of the surrounding greenery. Based on fengshui, Choa Chu Kang marks the point where the mighty Central and Western Dragons meet, making it an extremely auspicious land.
This region has the fengshui formation known as the “Homes of the Flying Swallows”. Being migratory birds, the swallows tend to take flight during different seasons. Hence, those living on this swallow land shall have great opportunities to travel far and frequently. This is also a good region for those pursuing a career in diplomacy or politics.
Tanglin Halt Courtyard

Nestled between Commonwealth Drive and Tanglin Halt Road, Tanglin Halt Courtyard will be built on the site of the former Tanglin Halt Neighbourhood Centre. From a fengshui perspective, this new BTO development sits on the Western Dragon and falls under the fengshui formation of the “Land of White Horse”, characterised by enthusiasm and loyalty.
Long-time residents of the horse land shall benefit from its positive energies and attain success on their career front. However, one should not overlook the horse’s shortcomings such as being over-ambitious and lacking determination. The latter could result in failures and cause one to lose fighting spirit.
Tanjong Tree Residences @ Hougang

Located along Hougang Street 13, Tanjong Tree Residences @ Hougang is a stone’s throw from Hougang Citrine – a relatively new BTO development. Both projects reside on the Eastern Dragon of Singapore within the fengshui formation of the “Paired Lotus Land”, which represents good luck and happiness and favours females.
A lotus land is considered auspicious in the fengshui context, and having a rare paired lotus with the formation “Mandarin Ducks Frolicking in Water” makes Hougang a truly valuable land. The Paired Lotus Land tends to produce strong-minded yet traditional women, with the potential of making it big.
Woodgrove Edge

Bounded by Woodgrove Avenue and Rosewood Drive, Woodgrove Edge sits on the den of the Central Dragon, and belongs to the fengshui land formation of “Golden Coin-storing Bowl”. This indicates favourability for wealth and health.
Built at the centre of several undulating hillocks, Woodlands Central resembles a goin-coin storing bowl, implying a capacity to accumulate wealth. Its reference to the “Iron Rice Bowl” in Mandarin and denotes that residents in this area shall be able to hold a stable and secure job.
With its strategic location, Woodlands is an auspicious district that can absorb and retain qi, making it an ideal place for resting and recuperation. This is especially so for North-facing residential units sitting in the South.
