Named after a linear park adorning its southern border, Woodgrove Edge is a new Build-To-Order (BTO) housing project in Woodlands that was recently launched in the HDB’s February 2024 BTO exercise.

Bounded by Woodgrove Avenue and Rosewood Drive, Woodgrove Edge sits on the den of the Central Dragon, and belongs to the fengshui land formation of “Golden Coin-storing Bowl”. This indicates favorability for wealth and health.
Built at the centre of several undulating hillocks, Woodlands Central resembles a goin-coin storing bowl, implying a capacity to accumulate wealth. Its reference to the “Iron Rice Bowl” in Mandarin and denotes that residents in this area shall be able to hold a stable and secure job.
With its strategic location, Woodlands is an auspicious district that can absorb and retain qi, making it an ideal place for resting and recuperation. This is especially so for North-facing residential units sitting in the South.

Woodgrove Edge comprises 7 residential blocks, ranging from 15 to 16 storeys in height. You can choose from 1,127 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.

While Woodgrove Edge is not within walking distance to any MRT station, it is located near a wide array of amenities. Shopping, dining, and entertainment options abound at Causeway Point, Woodlands Civic Centre, and Vista Point. There are also several primary schools in the vicinity, such as Woodgrove Primary School, Si Ling Primary School, Fuchun Primary School, etc. – making it suitable for families with school-age children.
From a fengshui perspective, Woodgrove Edge is densely packed and surrounded by condominiums and a future high-rise residential development, which hints of various types of conflicting forces (Sha qi). For instance, the Sharp Edge Sha occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development.
Some units in this new BTO project also have the problem of door facing door. If main doors are facing each other, there will be direct conflicting energy, which is unfavourable for both households. In such a situation, homeowners can place a round light in between the two doors, or to hang a Super 5 Shield at the top of your door frame.
While Woodgrove Edge’s 6-storey Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) and the site reserved for park can act as a buffer to reduce disturbances from the Seletar Expressway (SLE), residents are likely to experience traffic noises. In addition, certain stacks such as 640, 642, 644 and 646 face the MSCP directly. Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞], could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia, hence homeowners may want to consider installing sound-proof windows or curtains and blinds.
Aspiring homeowners should also avoid stacks that are near or face the bin centre directly. If your front door faces the Bin Centre directly, your house is likely to be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing, even if the estate uses the Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System (PWCS).

Period 9 corresponds with the South, representing a strong Fire element. As such, one should be mindful of locating important spaces within your premises. For example, it is best to make adjustments if your stove (also of fire element) is facing South, otherwise too much fire energy can cause instability and burnout for members in the household.
In fengshui, the stove represents “the female owner of the house”. As such, the state of the stove in your house represents the condition of your mother or wife.
