Published: 29 Oct 2025

Set in the friendly and laidback mature town of Bedok, Ping Yi Court is a standard housing project launched in HDB’s October 2025 BTO exercise. As its name suggests, the blocks are thoughtfully arranged with a courtyard setting for residents to gather and connect.

In fengshui, a courtyard is often regarded as positive, as it allows the accumulation and circulation of qi within a property. Could Ping Yi Court be your ideal fengshui home? Read on for our in-depth fengshui review to find out!

Landform Fengshui: Ping Yi Court in Bedok

In Singapore, the Five Dragon Landform Fengshui harnesses “hidden dragons”, which are man-made structures that channel energy flows. From the lens of fengshui, roads act as “dragon veins”, skyscrapers as “mountain dragons” offering stability, and waterways serve as wealth-attracting “water dragons”.

The five auspicious dragons, namely Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern, and Central, along with the Singapore and Kallang Rivers, converge to drive the city’s growth and prosperity, with each dragon influencing a region’s success.

Nestled along Chai Chee Street, Ping Yi Court in Bedok sits near the head of the Eastern Dragon (aka Wood Dragon). Being near the Dragon’s head calls for individuals with strong Bazi; otherwise, maintaining stability in career, relationships, and health may prove challenging.

Fengshui Formation: Ping Yi Court in Bedok

Ping Yi Court in Bedok is part of the favourable fengshui land formation known as “Golden Coins Falling to the Ground”, shaped by Bedok Reservoir, aka a symbolic source of wealth. This means that residents in Bedok are blessed with opportunities of windfall.

However, this formation is also accompanied with two tricky stars, namely the Tao Hua Romance and White Tiger stars, which underlie potential wealth loss. As such, one is advised to go by the book and stay down-to-earth.

Setting up a wealth basin at home under the care of the female owner (wife) shall help in retaining wealth. For greater home fengshui benefits, homeowners may consider displaying money plants at home to maintain the good flow of qi.

Exterior fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

Thoughtfully arranged along the site’s perimeter, the five residential blocks of Ping Yi Court create a courtyard setting for residents to gather and connect. In addition to fostering a community spirit, this layout can be beneficial from a fengshui perspective.

Traditionally, a central courtyard symbolises openness and the flow of positive energy. This is beneficial for residents of Ping Yi Court in Bedok, as the mature town is highly populated.

Another advantage is that the BTO development is nestled within a residential zone, bordered by existing public housing, which creates a calmer, more peaceful living environment. That certainly seems like Ping Yi Court offers the best of both worlds, as it is still within walking distance to the Bedok MRT stations, bus interchanges, and Heartbeat@Bedok.

Choose your units wisely though, as some stacks at Block 810A, 811A, and 811D face the 6/7-storey Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) directly. Lower floor units of stack 529, 531, 533, 537, 539, 541, 543, 601, 603, 605, and 607 are likely to be affected by conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars. As this could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia, quality soundproofing is essential.

As Ping Yi Court is pretty well-contained, there could be conflicting forces from neighbouring blocks with potential some units likely to encounter the Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞). This typically occurs when the door or window of your unit faces the corner of a nearby building. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. If in doubt, it is best to consult a professional fengshui practitioner.

Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Ping Yi Court comprises five residential blocks of 15 storeys each, with 862 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, 5-room, and 3Gen flats.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.

We have categorised the units at Ping Yi Court under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

While some units at Ping Yi Court likely face the most auspicious directions of the current fengshui period, the majority lie on the boundary between two directions, indicated with the warning sign. Aspiring homebuyers are advised to seek a professional  fengshui consultation for guidance.

Did you know?

Money is not everything, but without it, you can hardly do anything. For those who are focused on building your wealth, you may want to be more mindful of your wealth position and the shoe shelf in your home.

The wealth position refers to a place where wealth accumulates. Hence, the space surrounding your wealth position must be kept clean and tidy. There should not be clutter, electrical appliances or sharp objects around or at your wealth position.

There is heavy Sha (煞气) aka negative energies where the shoe shelf is located. Hence, your wealth luck will be affected if your shoe shelf directly faces your wealth position. Some people unknowingly positioned their shoe shelf at their wealth position. When this happens, their wealth is likely to disperse and one may find that it is difficult to accumulate wealth. Should this happen, it is best to shift the shoe shelf or avoid placing shoes within the rack.

Also, Period 9 is influenced by a wealth star, indicating growing fortune and propitiousness, just like the current Period 8. However, the Fire element influencing Period 9 is not as stable as the Earth element in Period 8.

If you are planning to conduct home renovation to tap on the benefitting energies of Period 9, do get in touch early for a fengshui consultation.
