Alexandra Vale, conveniently located near Redhill MRT station, was launched under the Prime Location Public Housing (PLH) model in HDB’s August 2022 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise. Let’s take an in-depth fengshui review on this upcoming BTO estate to assess its fengshui qualities and see what it has to offer beyond its prime location.

Alexandra Vale: Landform fengshui
Located along Alexandra View, Alexandra Vale lies in the precinct of Tiong Bahru, which sits on the Western Dragon. It belongs to the fengshui land formation of “Buffalo Sleeping Ground”, which is the most propitious piece of buffalo land in Singapore.
What this means for residents is a peaceful environment and great potential to succeed with hard work and perseverance. It is also important to be thrifty and avoid coveting windfalls. To taste the sweetness of success, residents must strive on.
Internal fengshui considerations
When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Alexandra Vale offers two residential blocks of 782 units in total, with 182 3-room and 600 4-room units, ranging from 41 to 50 storeys.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Periods 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions.
In addition to north- and south-facing units at Alexandra Vale, there are also Northwest-facing units that can be considered. The majority of these units with favourable directions happen to be in Block 109B, which is nearer to the MRT station.

Exterior fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home. It is always worthwhile to do a physical site visit prior to your property purchase.
In terms of accessibility and amenities, Alexandra Vale is undoubtedly in a good spot as it is conveniently near to Redhill MRT station, the food centres, shopping malls, sport facilities and it sits on the fringe of our bustling town centre. However, this also means blockage amidst the crowded housing environment as well as greater noise activities.
Fortunately, none of the stacks face each other directly, eliminating the risks of conflicting energy. From the site plan, there’s also considerable space between this upcoming BTO estate and its surrounding high-rise residential buildings.
Do take note that the majority of the North- and South-facing units at Alexandra Vale are located nearer to Redhill MRT station and those that are directly facing the MRT track and Tiong Bahru Road are likely to be subjected to noise and light pollution.
If you plan to opt for one of these units, you may want to allocate an extra budget to block light and sound from your bedroom. This also applies to Stacks 201, 203, 205, 217 and 219, which are directly facing the multi-storey car park with a roof garden. For those who are eyeing any of these stacks, it is recommended to choose a higher floor unit.

It is unadvisable to have your bedroom door facing the toilet door, and it’d be worse if your toilet door faces your bed directly. As the toilet is a place with moisture and stinky smell, the negative energy that flows directly into the bedroom due to inappropriate door positions will cause illness on bones and muscles. Over time, it may lead to a more serious illness as well as wealth loss.
In the case of Alexandra Vale, both their 3-room and 4-room floor plans show a toilet door facing a bedroom door directly. In such cases, one may want to consider slight modifications to the layout or to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner for fengshui remedies.
The position of your toilet and where it faces is very important. It should not be directly facing your main door, kitchen door, or the bedroom door (as mentioned earlier). Bear in mind that the toilet door is like a large hole, releasing negative energy, conflicting with the beneficial energy that enters via the main entrance, and it would affect your household members negatively.
