Bedok South Blossoms, located in the mature town of Bedok, is one of the pricier new housing projects launched in HDB’s May 2023 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise. Is the convenient location worth the higher costs? What about the fengshui aspects of this upcoming BTO estate?
In this article, we will take an in-depth fengshui review on Bedok South Blossoms to assess its fengshui qualities and see what it has to offer beyond its prime location. Read on!
Bedok South Blossoms: Landform fengshui
Bedok South Blossoms sits on the Eastern Dragon amidst the favourable fengshui formation of Bedok’s “Golden Coins Falling to the Ground”, shaped by Bedok Reservoir – the symbolic source of wealth. This means that residents in Bedok are blessed with opportunities of windfall.
However, this formation is also accompanied with two tricky stars – namely the Tao Hua Romance and White Tiger stars – which underlie potential wealth loss. As such, one is advised to go by the book and stay down-to-earth.
Setting up a wealth basin at home under the care of the female owner (wife) shall help in retaining wealth. For greater home fengshui benefits, display some money plants at home to maintain the good flow of qi.
Internal fengshui considerations
When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Bedok South Blossoms offers 9 residential blocks of 1,640 units in total, ranging from 19 to 22 storeys. Potential homeowners can choose from 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, 5-room, and 3Gen flats. In case you are wondering, the name ‘Bedok South Blossoms’ describes the rich variety of flora that will be planted around the project as part of the landscaping.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions.
Aspiring homeowners who are eyeing to get a BTO unit at Bedok South Blossoms will be happy to know that most of the units here face the above mentioned favourable directions. Here’s what we recommend:

It is important to note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone.
Selecting a suitable flat can be a daunting task, especially if you are a first-time homeowner. When in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
Exterior fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Situated in a mature estate, Bedok South Blossoms is conveniently located to various amenities including the Tanah Merah MRT station, which is within walking distance. There are three schools in close proximity, which make this BTO estate suitable for young couples or families with young children.
Nevertheless, Bedok South Blossoms lies next to Bedok View Secondary School, which implies that residents are likely to be affected by heavier traffic and noises during active school hours. The latter applies especially to those at Block 48C. Hence, you should consider carefully when selecting a flat. Sound insulation could be an option to reduce noise disturbances from the external environment.
Also, Stack 274 and 276 are located nearest to the Bin Centre. It is best to ensure that your front door (especially those on the lower floor units) does not face the Bin Centre directly, otherwise your house will be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing.
Within the estate, there’s also a 8-storey multi-storey car park (MSCP), which is conveniently accessible to each block. Note that lower floor units of stacks that are located near or directly face the MSCP may be subject to Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞]. This could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia.
Therefore, those who choose a lower storey unit that faces the car park (i.e. Stack 254, 256, 258, 260, 296, 298, 312, 314, 334, 336, 346, 348, 356, 358) are advised to install a window blind.
As this BTO estate development area is pretty well-contained, there could be conflicting forces from neighbouring blocks with potential some units likely to encounter the Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞). This typically occurs when the door or window of your unit faces the corner of a nearby building.
Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. If in doubt, it is best to consult a professional fengshui practitioner.
Did you know?
Events and happenings within a space create energy vibrations that can either be positive or negative. These are not limited to indoor spaces, but could also be infused into the estate that you plan to live in. Hence, it makes sense to understand the history of your to-be neighbourhood, especially recent happenings that could leave traces of remnant energies.
Prior to selecting your house or flat, take a walk in the estate and take note of the features of surrounding buildings that may harbour threats of negative influences or hinder ventilation within your home. The main idea is to garner and ensure the smooth flow of positive Qi (energy) within your new home while avoiding Sha Qi (negative energies).
Sha Qi in the environment surrounding your home can manifest into loss of wealth, accidents, and sickness. If there are sharp edges pointed towards your potential home, then it is best to consider another unit or seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
Which fengshui BTO units to choose in Bedok South Blossoms?
The prime location of Bedok South Blossoms makes it very attractive, but it is important to select a unit that is auspicious in the reigning luck cycle and suitable for your bazi.
