As its name suggests, Alkaff LakeView will overlook the Alkaff Lake (to be completed in 2023), offering scenic lake views and greenery. In fengshui, water is often associated with wealth, wisdom and abundance. Does that mean that this Bidadari housing estate has a home fengshui edge over the rest?

Completed in 2019, Alkaff LakeView is an award-winning HDB development in the highly sought-after central region of Singapore. Located in District 13 (D13), Alkaff LakeView will fulfil its Minimum Occupancy Period (MOP) in the coming year, 2024.

Located along the Alkaff District in Bidadari, Alkaff LakeView sits along Upper Aljunied Road, which lies on the Eastern Dragon, representative of the Wood element. It seems fitting that the estate is envisioned as an urban oasis in a garden-like setting with much greenery.

From a fengshui perspective, Alkaff LakeView falls between the formations of “Transporting Cart of Gold and Jade” and the “White Crane Spreading its Wings”. Note that there are several schools in the vicinity such as Cedar Primary School, MOE Kindergarten @ Cedar and Cedar Girls’ Secondary School.

Amidst the garden-like setting at Alkaff LakeView, be mindful of trees as they can deflect incoming auspicious energies, so do take note if your unit is close to trees and plants. Also, while plants symbolise vitality and growth, it can introduce unwanted pests into our homes if they are too close to entrances.

Lifts are a great source of convenience in a high-rise setting, but homeowners should be aware that units located in close proximity to a lift (e.g. Stack 33, 35, 37, 39, 61, 67, 73) may encounter unstable magnetic fields at home. In general, cross junctions and road bends imply potential Sha Qi or poison arrows, depending on traffic flow and other factors. Some stacks of Block 115C along Upper Aljunied Road are facing a cross junction while some at Block 115A are near to a T-junction. Units that are located at the lower storeys tend to be at a greater risk of such Road Sha. Since the residential units at Block 115A and 115C of Alkaff LakeView are located on the 6th floor and above, homeowners don’t need to worry too much.

Alkaff LakeView comprises 3 residential blocks of 531 units of 3- and 4-room flats at a height of 17 storeys. The majority of units in this soon-to-MOP housing estate face North or South, which is ideal in terms of home fengshui in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063).
