Signature at Yishun is a 99-year leasehold executive condominium (EC) nestled in an exclusive region of Yishun’s bustling neighbourhood alongside a number of ECs. Let us take a closer look at the fengshui aspects and determine if it could be your ideal fengshui home. Read on!
Signature at Yishun: Landform fengshui
Located along Yishun Street 51, Signature at Yishun EC lies on the Southern Dragon of Singapore at the fengshui formation of the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has indeed benefited many well-known businessmen.
Whenever plum blossoms are present, there will also be orchids, chrysanthemum and bamboo. Magpies are particularly attracted to this combination and it is noteworthy that they can be “found” at the Orchid Country Club. Signature at Yishun is just a stone’s throw from the country club, hence enabling its residents to garner the positive energies brought forth by the magpies.
Residents in Yishun have high earning power and know how to enjoy their lives too. This northern district exudes a sense of tranquillity, which makes it a suitable location for self-cultivation.
Internal fengshui considerations
Directions play an important role in internal fengshui considerations. Choosing a unit that faces auspicious directions can allow you and your household members to tap on the positive energies.
With a total of 525 units, Signature at Yishun spans across eleven 12-storey blocks of 2 to 5 bedroom units. Those who are planning to buy/rent a resale EC at this estate can consider units that have a Northwest/Southeast facing, as these are favourable directions in the upcoming fengshui Period 9 (years 2024 – 2043). The following are recommended choices for consideration:
Blocks with Northwest/Southeast facing units
Blocks 21, 23, 25: all stacks
Block 27: Stack 13
Block 31: Stacks 21, 22
Block 33: Stacks 25, 28
Block 35: Stacks 29, 32
Block 37: Stacks 33, 36
Block 44: Stack 44
Kindly note that stacks that are excluded in the above list are Northeast/Southwest facing, which may not fare that well in Period 9. Hence, it is best to consider alternatives.

When making a selection, remember to take a closer look at the floor plan as well. Through our analysis, we found that a toilet or kitchen falls into the centre sector (central palace) in some 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom units. From a fengshui perspective, the central palace should be a passive sector where qi flow is subtle and peaceful, so as to allow household members to enjoy emotional stability. Take note that a kitchen, toilet or stove should not be located in the centre of the property.
Hence, much attention is needed when selecting a choice unit. If in doubt, you may like to consult a professional fengshui practitioner. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
Exterior fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home. In terms of convenience, Signature at Yishun EC is near to many facilities and amenities in the mature estate.
On the other hand, a mature estate also implies more crowded housing options. Signature at Yishun is sandwiched between two residential estates, namely The Criterion EC and the Saraca Breeze at Yishun HDB.
The outer stacks (33, 34, 37, 40, 43, 44) at Block 37, 39, 41 face the multi-storey car park of Saraca Breeze at Yishun, and may encounter Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞], which could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. For those who choose a unit that faces the car park, please consider installing a window blind. Otherwise, consider a higher floor unit or explore alternatives.
On the other side of the estate, the outer stacks (14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 24) at Block 27, 29 and 31 face The Criteron. The distance between the buildings is relatively near, and there could be conflicting forces such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞). This typically occurs when the door or window of your unit faces the corner of a nearby building. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development.
For those who are more sensitive to noise, you may also want to avoid stacks near facilities such as the pool (27 to 30) and tennis court (3 and 4), as these areas tend to have higher footfall and noise levels.
Did you know?
Events and happenings within a space create energy vibrations that can either be positive or negative. These are not limited to indoor spaces, but could also be infused into the estate that you plan to live in. Hence, it makes sense to understand the history of your to-be neighbourhood, especially recent happenings that could leave traces of remnant energies.
Prior to selecting your house or flat, take a walk in the estate and take note of the features of surrounding buildings that may harbour threats of negative influences or hinder ventilation within your home. The main idea is to garner and ensure the smooth flow of positive Qi (energy) within your new home while avoiding Sha Qi (negative energies).
If there are sharp edges pointed towards your potential home, then it is best to consider another unit instead. Some common obstructive landforms include sharp corners of nearby buildings, T-junctions, expressways, train stations, construction sites, etc.
