Fengshui Review: The Miltonia Residences
In a small country like Singapore, the scarcity of land calls for effective land use. With a limited land area but an ever-rising population and high housing demands, HDB flats had to be built smaller, taller and also in close proximity.
In residential feng shui, ventilation plays a vital role. For a small house in a concrete jungle, air ventilation is poor and the occupants may easily feel stressed too. With time, they could also turn into narrow-minded persons, unknowingly.
The Miltonia Residences is situated in Yishun, comprising 18 five-storey blocks with a total of 410 residential units. Yishun lies on the Southern Dragon of Singapore and it falls on the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has indeed benefited many well-known businessmen.
Whenever plum blossom is present, there will also be orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo. Magpies are particularly attracted to this combination and it is noteworthy that they can be “found” at the Orchid Country Club. Coincidentally, The Miltonia Residences is located just next to the country club, thus is able to garner the positive energies brought forth by the magpies. Residents in Yishun have high earning power and know how to enjoy their lives too. I came to Yishun for a feng shuiassessment recently and this place gave me a sense of tranquility, which makes it a good location for self-cultivation.
Above is the “SPACE” analysis for The Miltonia Residences. Moving on, let’s talk about the other two important considerations in feng shui – “TIME” and “DIRECTION”.
In the upcoming Period 9 (year 2024 – 2043) and Period 1 (2044 – 2063), the North and South will be the most auspicious directions. And, the good news is that the main entrance of The Miltonia Residences faces the North!
As for the individual facing directions of the units, we have identified the following as North or South-facing:
- Block 502 (All units)
- Block 546 (All units)
- Block 548 (All units)
- Block 534 (Unit 33 & 36)
- Block 542 (Unit 49 & 52)
- Block 550 (Unit 67 & 70)
Potential buyers may consider the units listed above. However, do note that among these units, there are some with stoves that face inauspicious directions. This is detrimental to the female owner’s health and should not be overlooked.
Most of the remaining units face either the Southeast or Southwest. The Southeast-facing houses are not the most auspicious ones, but they are deemed above average. On the other hand, the Southwest is one of the auspicious directions in Period 8 (year 2004 – 2023). But, its positive feng shui benefits will diminish with the arrival of Period 9 in 2024. At that time, one may consider putting their house up for sale or rental.
Many of the units have the problem of “missing corners”, mostly in the South and Southeast sector. This will be of greater impact to the daughters in the family.
It may not be easy to find a dwelling with perfect feng shui, but The Miltonia Residences has fulfilled most of the feng shui requirements and is a worthy investment.
