Named for its location near Pelton Canal, Kallang View promises relaxing views from various vantage points within the development, and at the canal’s edge. Despite its proximity to the waters, it’s unlikely that residents will be able to get a water view from the living room.
Nonetheless, stacks along upper Boon Keng Road closer to Pelton Canal could still be a better choice as the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway is located nearby on the other side of the BTO project, where the constant vehicle movements indicate Sound Sha [声煞]. Thankfully, there are some buffers from the multi-storey car park (MSCP) and existing public housing.
While we are on the topic of MSCP, potential homebuyers looking for lower floor units should take note that the MSCP at Kallang View stands at 4/5 storeys in height. Lower floor units at stacks 2366 and 2368 face the MSCP directly and would most likely be affected by conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars. This could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. To counter this, homeowners can consider installing a window blind.
At the back of Kallang View sits an interim school with the site being reserved for an educational institution. This BTO project is also surrounded by sites reserved for future high-rise residential development. This indicates potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period.
