The name Plantation Edge I & II references the project’s location along the Forest Fringe. Abundant trees and bushes, in addition to good land contour and rich water, are considered important elements for an ideal fengshui environment. Bounded by Plantation Crescent and Plantation Close, Plantation Edge I & II will be located in Tengah’s Plantation district, just across the road from Plantation Verge. The BTO estate is expected to reside on the Western Dragon, and belongs to the fengshui formation of “Land of the Flower Basket” under the Jurong precinct. It is believed that long-time residents in Jurong tend to possess good looks and great talents too. They are often equipped with capabilities and growing wealth.

In terms of development, Jurong is favourable for innovative and creative industries. Those who are working in creative-related businesses and educational institutions will do well here. Families and singles looking to strive in their career, especially females, can also consider this area.

Also, it is good to take note of the nearby fengshui formation of a pair of “Golden Boy and Jade Girl”, located respectively at Jurong East and Jurong West. Romance luck abounds in Jurong and singles can look forward to finding their ideal partners. Nonetheless, caution is needed to avoid love tragedies. In particular, married people must practise faithfulness, or one will share the same fate as the golden boy and jade girl who remain separated.

Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Plantation Edge I & II comprises 8 residential blocks with a total of 1,010 units, ranging from 14 to 15 storeys. In this BTO project, there are 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room and 5-room flats.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.

We have categorised the units at Plantation Edge I & II under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

Note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.

This is especially if your unit is facing the less favourable directions such as East, West, Northeast or Southwest. Getting a reliable fengshui consultation can help you to clear doubts and ensure that your household thrive in the coming Period 9 .

External fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

Plantation Edge I & II’s location in Tengah will provide it the best of both worlds – being in the new town and near (but not directly facing) the Pan-island expressway (PIE) from the well-developed Jurong East precinct, and right next to Tengah Park MRT station.

Located near several schools, namely the future Pioneer Primary School,  future Bukit View Primary School, future Anglo-Chinese School (Primary), Jurong Primary School, Bukit Batok Secondary School and Millennia Institute, this upcoming BTO in the west makes it ideal for families with school-going children.

Its ideal location spells convenience but residents can expect noises and heavier traffic during peak hours, especially for the outer stacks along Plantation Crescent Road that faces the site reserved for a school. The proximity of Plantation Edge I with Tengah Park MRT station also indicates noise pollution (Sound Sha). To reduce noise disturbances at home, you may consider installing sound-proof windows or curtains and blinds.

Have you been wondering if it is bad fengshui to stay near a place of worship? To the south of Plantation Edge I & II lies a site reserved for a place of worship. While there is generally no cause for worries to stay near a place of worship, one should be mindful of conflicting points from nearby buildings or structures.

Those who are staying at Block 106A and 106B will be facing this site, hence do keep a lookout for sharp points/corners facing your unit, especially if you are on a lower storey. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to consult a professional fengshui master for appropriate fengshui measures.

Like many BTO developments in Tengah, Plantation Edge I & II will be surrounded by many high-rise residential buildings as this new estate is expected to develop rapidly within the next 20 years.

Homeowners are advised to take note of future developments surrounding your home. High-rise buildings in proximity present a potential risk of conflicts such as Tian Zhan Sha (home’s frontage facing an opening between two or more building structures that funnel negative energies), corner Sha (角煞) where sharp corners present hidden threats, etc.

Did you know?

Most, if not all of us, should probably have no doubt when it comes to understanding the destructive relationship between fire and water. In the world of fengshui, this is no exception.

As such, having a stove directly facing your water basin in the kitchen is considered detrimental to the fengshui of the household. This could adversely affect the health of your family, with the negative effects being the most prominent on the female owner.

This undesirable situation could be remedied during the renovation of your home, by relocating either the stove or the water basin. Should this be impractical, you could consider keeping a potted plant right beside the water basin. This will allow creative relationships between water, wood, and fire to be formed.

Homeowners should also be mindful that Period 9, which corresponds with the South, represents a strong Fire element. Therefore, locating important spaces within your premises is crucial. For example, it is best to make adjustments if your stove (also of fire element) is facing South, otherwise  too much fire energy can cause instability and burnout for members in the household.

In fengshui, the stove represents “the female owner of the house”. As such, the state of the stove in your house represents the condition of your mother or wife. If your stove happens to face South, you are also highly recommended to consult a professional fengshui master for appropriate fengshui measures.
