Whilst Choa Chu Kang is a non-mature estate, this upcoming BTO is near to notable landmarks and many amenities. In this article, we’ll take an in-depth fengshui review on Rail Green I and II @ CCK to assess its fengshui qualities and see what it has to offer. Read on!
Rail Green I and II @ CCK: Landform fengshui

Bounded by Woodlands Road and Sungei Pang Sua, Rail Green I and II @ CCK is the precinct of Choa Chu Kang. Based on fengshui, Choa Chu Kang marks the point where the mighty Central and Western Dragons meet, making it an extremely auspicious land.
This region has the fengshui formation known as the “Homes of the Flying Swallows”. Being migratory birds, the swallows tend to take flight during different seasons. Hence, those living on this swallow land shall have great opportunities to travel far and frequently. This is also a good region for those pursuing a career in diplomacy or politics.
As swallows can also fly in different directions, couples may experience time away from each other due to work commitments. With that in mind, spouses must have strong faith in each other and always try to keep harmony in mind.
Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Rail Green I and II @ CCK comprises 12 residential blocks with a total of 1,895 units, ranging from 13 to 31 storeys. In this BTO project, there are 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room, 5-room and 3Gen flats.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.
We have categorised the units at Rail Green I and II @ CCK under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.
Note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.

External fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Although Rail Green I and II @ CCK in Choa Chu Kang is considered to be in a non-mature town, it is well-located with many amenities nearby such as transport links, 5 malls, 4 schools (2 are just across this BTO development!) and notable landmarks such as the rail corridor and park connectors. This makes it an attractive option for families, especially those with school-going children.
While Rail Green I and II @ CCK will be surrounded by existing high-rise residential buildings, there is sufficient spacing to minimise potential conflict points, which high-rise buildings in proximity tend to have.
Nevertheless, residents of Block 32C, especially those at the outer stacks (381, 383, 385, 387) should take note of the reserved site for high-rise residential development next to your BTO project. Depending on the proximity, there may be potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period.
Sungei Pang Sua lies on the east of Rail Green I and II @ CCK. Those who are choosing units at Block 28A, 28B, 28C facing Sungei Pang Sua will have greenery in sight, as there is a site reserved for park. Residents staying in a lower floor unit may want to be mindful of trees as they can deflect incoming auspicious energies. Also, while plants symbolise vitality and growth, it can introduce unwanted pests into our homes if they are too close to entrances.
In landscape fengshui, a household is considered auspicious and blessed with prosperity and abundance if you can see flowing water from your living room, especially if there is a large door or window that allows an inflow of energy from the river across your home.
Nevertheless, it is crucial to determine the river flow direction to determine if having a view of the flowing water is indeed beneficial to one’s household. If in doubt, it is best to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
On the other side of this BTO development, stacks at Block 28B and 28C facing Woodlands Road can expect noises and heavier traffic during peak hours as the West View Primary School & MK @ West View as well as Bukit Panjang Polyclinic are just across the road. Some stacks at 31A, 32A also face Choa Chu Kang Secondary School directly, although there is a water body as a buffer.
Staying near a polyclinic or hospital may cause some residents to feel uneasy, as these establishments are considered to be Yin in nature. If you don’t f, it is possible that the unease may result in physical and mental fatigue in the long run. Nevertheless, we believe most homeowners would have considered this before choosing a unit.
It helps if your unit is on a higher floor, but do keep in mind that polyclinics – unlike hospitals – don’t operate around the clock. While some units at Rail Green I and II @ CCK would be facing the buildings directly, noises would be kept within operating hours in the day. Should you still feel uneasy or would like to consult a professional fengshui practitioner for a home fengshui assessment, please feel free to get in touch.
Last but not least, stacks that are near or face the bin centre directly are not recommended (eg. stacks 387, 389). If your front door faces the Bin Centre directly, your house is likely to be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing, even if the estate uses the Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System (PWCS).
Did you know?
Most, if not all of us, should probably have no doubt when it comes to understanding the destructive relationship between fire and water. In the world of fengshui, this is no exception.
As such, having a stove directly facing your water basin in the kitchen is considered detrimental to the fengshui of the household. This could adversely affect the health of your family, with the negative effects being the most prominent on the female owner.
This undesirable situation could be remedied during the renovation of your home, by relocating either the stove or the water basin. Should this be impractical, you could consider keeping a potted plant right beside the water basin. This will allow creative relationships between water, wood, and fire to be formed.
Homeowners should also be mindful that Period 9, which corresponds with the South, represents a strong Fire element. Therefore, locating important spaces within your premises is crucial. For example, it is best to make adjustments if your stove (also of fire element) is facing South, otherwise too much fire energy can cause instability and burnout for members in the household.
In fengshui, the stove represents “the female owner of the house”. As such, the state of the stove in your house represents the condition of your mother or wife. If your stove happens to face South, you are also highly recommended to consult a professional fengshui master for appropriate fengshui measures.
