Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II: Landform fengshui

Overlooking the scenic Geylang River, Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II are bounded by Tanjong Rhu Road, Kampong Arang Road, and Sampan Place. This new BTO estate sits on the Southern Dragon, aka the Wealth Dragon, in the precinct of Kallang/Whampoa.
Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II is part of the fengshui land formation known as ‘Five Snakes Battling a White Crocodile” with Kallang River complementing four other waterways. The four other waterways are namely Rochor River, Whampoa River, Geylang River and Pelton Canal. With abundant water sources in the area, does that indicate greater wealth opportunities for residents?
Well, the river mouth is shaped like a crocodile’s mouth, where fast-flowing undercurrents and dangers lurk. Older Singaporeans may recall that developments at Kallang River precede that of Singapore River, but growth is slow due to distracting competitions between the Five Snakes. On top of that, Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II boasts lush greenery and open spaces, which promises conducive living. With its location just along Geylang River and within walking distance to East Coast Park, residents will get to have a river view or sea view.
In landscape fengshui, a household is considered auspicious and blessed with prosperity and abundance if you can see flowing water from your living room, especially if there is a large door or window that allows an inflow of energy from the river across your home.

Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II comprises 11 blocks and while they look well-spaced on the site plan, potential homeowners should be mindful of potential conflicting forces (煞气). With several high-rise buildings densely packed together, there is greater likelihood of encountering conflicting forces such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞).
The former occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. The latter occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Hence, it may be worth considering a unit that faces the river or Dunman High School instead.
One must also be mindful of Constriction Sha, which occurs when air currents between two buildings converge to charge at one being sandwiched in between. As residents open their windows for ventilation, they will introduce these inauspicious energies to their home. Affected parties may become listless and pessimistic. Should your main door be directly in the line of Constriction Sha, you may consider installing a partition or displaying plants at the entrance to deflect its flow.
Due to Singapore’s limited land space, there is a prevalence of multi-storey car parks (MSCP) within our local residential estates. This facility provides much convenience to residents, but at the cost of encountering fengshui conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars.
