Fengshui Review: EastLink I @ Canberra and EastLink II @ Canberra
The northernmost region of Singapore often brings to mind nature and heritage, and its perceived remoteness has kept property prices relatively affordable up until a few years ago. During its launch in 2015, affordability was a major purchase factor for EastLink I @ Canberra and EastLink II @ Canberra, but what does this estate (TOP to be issued soon!) hold for its residents at present and in the future? Let’s take a closer look through the fengshui lens with Master Goh Guan Leong for greater understanding. Read on!

Overview of Landform Fengshui
Located in Sembawang along Canberra Link, EastLink I & II @ Canberra reside on the Southern Dragon amidst the fengshui land formation of “Thriving Bamboos”. Bamboos, being an auspicious symbol in Chinese culture, indicate the potential for growth and progress. This formation promises positive influences for residents in this area. 👍
Nevertheless, residents on EastLink I & II @ Canberra, especially those with elderly and young children, should note that this region is susceptible to strong northeast winds, in particular during the year end monsoon season . As this may cause you or your loved ones to catch a cold easily, do take extra consideration when designing your living space.
Internal Fengshui Considerations
EastLink I @ Canberra comprises six residential blocks ranging from 11 to 12 storeys, while EastLink II @ Canberra consists of five 11-storey residential blocks. Most units face Northwest or Southeast, which are auspicious directions in the year 2020. This is a suitable year to move into your residence! However, do take note that these directions rank 3rd and 4th place respectively in the upcoming Period 9 (year 2024 – 2043).
For those who have chosen units in Blk 132b and Blk 132c of EastLink I @ Canberra and Blk 116a, Blk 118a and Blk 118b of EastLink II @ Canberra that face North or South, here’s a piece of good news: North and South are the auspicious directions in Period 9 and Period 1 (year 2024 – 2063)! Do look into longer term planning if you are residing in one of these units.
There’s no place like home. To maximise the comfort levels of your residence, opt for a homely interior design, keeping good ventilation in mind. White or light coloured walls are recommended for the living room and soothing warm lights can create a cosy, tranquil ambience.
Exterior Fengshui Considerations
Recent infrastructure developments in the past few years has livened up Canberra, which was once hailed as a ghost town. Today, this progressive town in northern Singapore boasts the Canberra MRT station, upcoming Canberra Plaza and several outdoor recreations that induce envy for Canberra residents.
While the proximity of the Canberra MRT station brings convenience to residents of EastLink I & II @ Canberra, residents must be mindful of noise sha (声煞), which may cause easy distractions and even affect family harmony .
Homeowners, take caution! If your unit is at the same height as the train tracks or if you have windows that are facing the train tracks directly, you may be affected by negative energies (煞) brought on by the moving trains. Please consult a professional fengshui practitioner for potential solutions to resolve the situation.
With the upcoming Canberra Plaza in close proximity, some of you may be wondering if there’s any fengshui impact. You can be rest assured that there’s no cause for worries.
