Alexandra Peaks: Landform fengshui

Bounded by Alexandra Road and Prince Charles Crescent, Alexandra Peaks is located in the precinct of Bukit Merah and sits on the Western Dragon. It is part of the fengshui land formation known as “Land of Buffaloes”, housing two buffaloes that have fled from Tiong Bahru due to the nearby formation “Combination of Four Animals”. One is located at Telok Blangah Hill Park and the other at Bukit Merah Central.
Buffaloes are known for their diligence and this quality is reflected in the residents staying in these areas. In the face of pressure, they would perform better and display strong determination.
Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Inspired by its 3 tall residential blocks, ranging from 39 to 48 storeys, Alexandra Peaks offer 904 units of 2 room Flexi, 3-, and 4-room flats. 1 of the blocks will house an additional 60 units of rental flats.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.
We have categorised the units at Alexandra Peaks under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.
Note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
This is especially if your unit is facing the least favourable direction, i.e. East or West. Getting a reliable fengshui consultation can help you to clear doubts and ensure that your household thrive in the coming Period 9.
External fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Centrally located along Alexandra Canal, Alexandra Peaks promises residents with scenic views and easy access to recreational activities such as cycling, jogging, and leisure walks along the waterfront – indicating a conducive living environment.
In landscape fengshui, a household is considered auspicious and blessed with prosperity and abundance if you can see flowing water from your living room, especially if there is a large door or window that allows an inflow of energy from the river across your home. Several stacks across the 3 blocks of Alexandra Peaks overlook the Alexandra Canal – good luck to potential homeowners who are casting your ballot.
Within Alexandra Peaks, stack 210 and 212 face the Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) directly. Those who are choosing the lower storeys (less than 10 storey) may encounter fengshui conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars. This could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. To counter this, homeowners can consider installing a window blind.
Stacks (242 and 246) located along Prince Charles Crescent may also encounter greater noises and heavier traffic during peak hours as Alexandra School and Gan Eng Seng School are just across the road. Homeowners may consider installing sound-proof windows or curtains and blinds for a more conducive space.
If your front door faces the Bin Centre directly, your house is likely to be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing. Hence, it is best to reconsider stacks (eg. 200, 202, 220, 222) that are near or face the bin centre directly.
Whilst Alexandra Peaks is located in a mature estate with many amenities, future homeowners should be mindful that this district is undergoing redevelopment. Based on the BTO site plan, several sites surrounding Alexandra Peaks are reserved for future high-rise developments. This indicates potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period.
High-rise buildings in proximity present a potential risk of conflicts such as Tian Zhan Sha (home’s frontage facing an opening between two or more building structures that funnel negative energies), corner Sha (角煞) where sharp corners present hidden threats, etc. If you encounter such scenarios, you may display a pair of guardian lions or Six Emperor Coins emblem to ward off the negative energies. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to consult a professional fengshui master for appropriate fengshui measures.
Did you know?
It is unadvisable to have your bedroom door facing the toilet door, and it’d be worse if your toilet door faces your bed directly. As the toilet is a place with moisture and stinky smell, the negative energy that flows directly into the bedroom due to inappropriate door positions will cause illness on bones and muscles. Over time, it may lead to a more serious illness as well as wealth loss.

In the case of Alexandra Peaks, the 3-room floor plan shows a toilet door facing a bedroom door directly while the 4-room floor plan shows how the toilet door of the master bedroom is likely to face the bed directly. Homeowners may want to consider slight modifications to the layout or to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner for fengshui remedies.
The position of your toilet and where it faces is very important. It should not be directly facing your main door, kitchen door, or the bedroom door (as mentioned earlier). Bear in mind that the toilet door is like a large hole, releasing negative energy, conflicting with the beneficial energy that enters via the main entrance, and it would affect your household members negatively.
Which fengshui BTO units to choose in Alexandra Peaks?
As with most things in life, getting it right from the start will save you lots of effort. More than just the correct placement of furniture or avoiding certain colours, home fengshui looks into compatibility amongst the homeowners and your living spaces.
Alexandra Peaks offers great convenience with its prime location with the majority of its units facing the most favourable directions in Period 9. Nonetheless, there are some units that face directions that are less favourable. Affected homeowners may want to consult a fengshui practitioner for a detailed home fengshui review.
Besides selecting a unit that is auspicious in the reigning luck cycle, remember that the unit should also be in a direction that suits your bazi. A fengshui unit can help you to create a harmonious home, improve mood and energy, and attract opportunities and benefactors.
