We are now in feng shui Period 8 (year 2004 – 2023), which favours the Northeast (Gen trigram). Representative of a mountain, Gen is linked to properties to a certain extent. That makes us wonder. Will the property market be static like a mountain in Period 8? Or will it go uphill and scale new heights?

Located along Clementi Avenue 4 is Trivelis, the newly completed DBSS in the area. Launched in 2011, the 4-room and 5-room units were sold out then. With a bleak outlook for the property market in 2015, how will the sales of the remaining 3-room units fare? The response should be quite positive too. Is the property market on the road to recovery? Or is it due to the good feng shui and conducive environment of Clementi?

Clementi is one of the mature estates in Singapore and it lies on the Western Dragon (Metal element). This particular Dragon is beneficial to the technology as well as the education sector. Thus, it is no surprise that Clementi houses several tertiary institutions like NUS, SIM, Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

In the feng shui context, Clementi is a basin land, specifically known as the “Wealth Basin”. Residents here have higher chances of striking a windfall. Trivelis comprises 888 units – an auspicious number that bears the meaning of prosperity. Could this be planned to complement the wealth basin formation of Clementi, hoping to bring abundant riches to the residents? Perhaps.

There are two rivers here in Clementi, namely Sungei Pandan and Sungei Ulu Pandan. Their presence is symbolic of “two imps stealing gold”. Hence, to build wealth, those who stay in Clementi must bear in mind to treasure and guard their money properly.

From a bird’s-eye view, the three 40-storey blocks come together to form the letter “Z”. This layout must have stemmed from the designer’s meticulous consideration for the residents. No matter which block you are staying at, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surroundings from your house. This is definitely a plus point from the feng shui perspective. However, those who stay on the higher floors could experience strong winds that may, in turn, hinder qi accumulation in the house.

Majority of the units at Trivelis are square-shaped, except for some that have the serious problem of missing corners:

  • Block 311A (Unit 153, 165, 163)
  • Block 311B (Unit 169, 171, 173, 177)
  • Block 311C (Unit 187, 189)

Feng shui adjustments can be made to rectify this unfavourable condition.

Among the 3 blocks, the house orientations of 311B are the most favourable ones as they are all North and South-facing. These two directions are the most auspicious in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1, stretching from year 2024 to 2064. As for the other two blocks, their house orientations are Northeast and Southwest, both of which are auspicious in Period 8. However, they will only prosper till year 2023.
