Offered as a Plus flat for its connectivity, Towner Breeze is a Build-to-Order (BTO) project in the Kallang/Whampoa district, which was launched in HDB’s October 2024 BTO exercise.
Wondering if this could be your ideal fengshui home? Let’s take an in-depth fengshui review on Towner Breeze to see how it fares in terms of residential fengshui. Read on!
Towner Breeze: Landform fengshui
Bounded by May Road and Central Expressway, Towner Breeze resides in the district of Kallang/Whampoa within walking distance to Boon Keng MRT station. This new BTO estate sits on the Southern Dragon, aka the Wealth Dragon.
Located next to Whampoa River, Towner Breeze is part of the fengshui land formation known as ‘Five Snakes Battling a White Crocodile” with Kallang River complementing four waterways. The four waterways are namely Rochor River, Whampoa River, Geylang River and Pelton Canal. With abundant water sources in the area, does that indicate greater wealth opportunities for residents in Kallang?
Well, the river mouth is shaped like a crocodile’s mouth, where fast-flowing undercurrents and dangers lurk. Older Singaporeans may recall that developments at Kallang River precede that of Singapore River, but growth is slow due to distracting competitions between the Five Snakes. The diversion of the river also affects the land formation. In spite of its prime location and proximity to central Singapore, Kallang boasts an idyllic and quiet environment – ideal for quality living.
Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Towner Breeze comprises a single residential block ranging from 35 to 40 storeys in height, which offers 355 units of 2-room Flexi and 4-room flats.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.
We have categorised the units at Towner Breeze under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

Note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
This is especially if your choice unit faces a less auspicious direction (i.e. Northeast or Southwest). Getting a reliable fengshui consultation can help you to clear doubts and ensure that your household thrives in Period 9.
External fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

Aptly named ‘Towner Breeze’ to reflect its location beside Sungei Whampoa, Towner Breeze stands tall at 35 to 40 storey amid its surrounding buildings, which are lower in height. This means unblocked views, and some units will get a river view as well.
In fengshui, unblocked views are favoured as it represents the Red Phoenix, symbolising aspirations and a bright future. Such smooth flow of energy in the absence of points of conflict (sha) is essential. This is why people favour higher floor units.
Generally, a household is considered auspicious and blessed with prosperity and abundance if you can see flowing water from your living room, especially if there is a large door or window that allows an inflow of energy from the river across your home.
Nevertheless, it is crucial to determine the river flow direction to determine if having a view of the flowing water is indeed beneficial to one’s household. If in doubt, it is best to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
With the Hong Wen School sitting next to Towner Breeze, school-age families would benefit from the convenience. Nevertheless, those staying here are likely to be affected by heavier traffic and noises during active school hours. Affected residents may consider installing sound insulation to reduce noise disturbances from the external environment.
Last but not least, while there seems to be sufficient buffer between the residential areas and nearby Central Expressway (CTE), stacks 107, 109, 111, 113 and 115 have their living room and bedroom units facing the expressway. These units may be subjected to constant vehicle movements that indicate Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞], which could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. Homeowners may consider installing sound-proof windows or curtains and blinds for a more conducive space.
Did you know?
The Kun sector, located in the Southwest of your home, is one area that you should not overlook! It represents the mother (matriarch energy), which denotes empathy, harmony and relationships.
The main element of this area is Earth, hence water features are recommended here. To ensure good health and stable emotions, plants should not be placed in this area. Also, this is a sector that should not be in the kitchen, toilet or storeroom.
For those who are scratching your head over where the Southwest sector in your home is, don’t worry! You are just a step from improving your home fengshui and luck. Read this to locate the sectors within your living space.
Besides that, keep a lookout for the South sector / facing as it corresponds with Period 9, and represents a strong Fire element. For example, adjustments are recommended if your stove (also of fire element) is facing South, otherwise too much fire energy can cause instability and burnout for members in the household. If your stove happens to face South, consider consulting a professional fengshui master for appropriate fengshui measures.
