Fengshui Review: MOP Resale Flats at Buangkok Edgeview

Landform fengshui

Located along Buangkok Crescent, Buangkok Edgeview sits on the Eastern Dragon in Sengkang. From the fengshui perspective, this land features the “frog land”. Residents of the frog land are exceptionally shrewd, but they can be rather laidback. Easy-going and generous, they are also persistent in subjects of their interest. 

This place is beneficial to strong-willed people as they can put their wisdom to good use in their daily life, whereas those with weaker willpower may become lazy and obsessed with effortless gains after some lucky encounters. 

 

Internal fengshui considerations

Directions play an important role in internal fengshui considerations. Choosing a unit that faces auspicious directions can allow you and your household members to tap on the positive energies. 

Buangkok Edgeview houses 467 units of 4-, 5-room and 3Gen Standard Flats across three blocks. Most of the units face North and South, which are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Periods 9 and 1 (2024 – 2063). 

Interested homebuyers can also consider units 825 and 815 that face Northwest, which is also considered an auspicious direction in Period 9 (2024 –2043).

 

Exterior fengshui considerations

While Buangkok was once filled and overcrowded by kampongs and villages, these were mostly cleared during the 2000s. This fully mature town is still growing with much development to be anticipated. 

Surrounding Buangkok Edgeview are reserved sites for new HDB flats and condominiums. In addition to construction noises that may affect the residents here, those who are staying at the outlying blocks facing these sites must pay attention to potential corner conflicts (角煞) from the new buildings when constructed.

There’ll be a small park at the Eastern corner of the estate, allowing residents to partake in leisure activities such as strolling. Those with elderly or younger children may consider the nearest block for convenience and access.

There are plans for a future road in the Northeast sector, indicating potential noise pollution from traffic. If one is already staying or plans to choose a unit nearby, it is best to consider sound insulation. 

In the South, there is a 90-degree turning path resembling a curved blade indicative of the harmful Lian Dao Sha (镰刀煞). Hence, residents staying along this road must be mindful of the negative energies. This applies especially to residents of Unit 813, 815 and 817 as well as those of Unit 823, 825, 827 and 829. While trees in the park will help to block off the negative influences for some of these units, more can be done to ensure a safe and harmonious household.
