While there’s no doubt that Queentown is a prime location, some may be wondering about its proximity to the Alexandra Hospital (commonly featured in urban legends!) and a Chinese temple. Queen’s Arc: Landform fengshui
Located along Queensway next to Alexandra Hospital and a stone’s throw from IKEA Alexandra, Queen’s Arc resides on the Western Dragon within the fengshui formation of the “Land of the White Horse”, which exudes positive characteristics such as loyalty and enthusiasm. Long-time residents of this Horse land shall benefit from its positive energies and attain success on their career front. The energetic nature of the horse makes Queenstown an ideal place for business start-ups.
On the other hand, one must be mindful of the horse’s shortcomings such as the lack of determination and being over-ambitious at times. Queen’s Arc has 610 three-room and four-room flats on offer across two blocks. If you are wondering which units to choose, take note that the main direction your home faces is essential, especially in fengshui.
As North and South are auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1 (year 2024 – 2063), it is heartening to know that there are a number of units at Queen’s Arc facing these directions. Selecting a unit that faces either of these directions can help homeowners tap on the positive energies.

In the Queen’s Arc BTO project, there is also a 6-storey car park. If possible, it is best to avoid a unit that faces the car park directly. Constant vehicle movements indicate Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞], which could cause disturbances to daily life such as insomnia. If you are staying in one of the units facing the car park, you may consider installing a window blind.
Exterior fengshui considerations
Some people may be concerned about the proximity of Queen’s Arc to Alexandra Hospital. Based on the blueprint, Master Goh Guan Leong advises that the site is located near the extension of the hospital, and there is no direct collision with the hospital as a whole. It’s worthy to note the presence of a car park that separates the hospital and the housing estate. Hence, there’s not much cause for worries.
Located across the street from Queen’s Arc is a Chinese temple. Temples are where devotees gather and perform acts of worship, thus congregating a strong force of energy that may cause qi imbalance to its surroundings. Some also believed that temples will attract spirits and ghosts, making it unfavourable for long-term dwellers. But, how true are these?

Actually, concluding the qi condition based on the temple alone is not enough.
