Fengshui Review: BTO Tampines GreenQuartz and Tampines GreenJade

Tampines, a well-developed regional centre in Singapore, launched two new housing projects in the recent August 2021 BTO (Build To Order), namely Tampines GreenQuartz and Tampines GreenJade. Without further ado, let us look at the fengshui review of these two Tampines BTO to further determine if this may be the home for you.

 

Landform fengshui

Located within walking distance to the MRT and reservoir, Tampines GreenQuartz and Tampines GreenJade are bounded by Bedok Reservoir Road and Tampines Street 95 and 96. Both of these housing projects sit on the Eastern Dragon in Tampines, which is a land of “Talented Scholars and Ravishing Beauties”. 

This implies that it is most suitable for those who work in the arts and creative industries. Portraying talent and beauty, it may also be inevitable for people to be more stubborn and snobbish. Therefore, more efforts must be made to maintain and improve human relations. 

The conditions of this area also call for greater caution against illnesses. The seasonal northeast monsoon will cause temperatures to fluctuate, hence people with poorer constitutions are susceptible to catching a cold. As such, warm colours such as red and cream are recommended in interior design and decorations while cool colours such as blue and green should be avoided. Growing more plants can also help to dispense the cold. 

 

Internal fengshui considerations

Tampines GreenQuartz comprises 13 blocks of 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room and 5-room units with some units facing North, and South.  As both North and South are auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1 (year 2024 – 2063), it is best to choose a unit that faces either of these directions to tap on the positive energies. A stone’s throw away, Tampines GreenJade comprises 6 blocks of 4-room and 5-room units. Most of these units face either Northeast or Southwest. Those who are looking to slow down their working pace, or the elderly, may want to consider this idyllic estate.

 

Exterior fengshui considerations

About 5 minutes walking distance from each other, Tampines GreenQuartz and Tampines GreenJade are surrounded by other housing blocks, condominiums, future residential projects and industrial parks. This implies that residents of these two projects are likely to get blocked views. 

In fengshui, unblocked views are favoured as it represents the Red Phoenix, symbolising aspirations and a bright future. Hence, prospective homeowners are advised to choose your ideal home units with care. Note that the smooth flow of energy in the absence of points of conflict (sha) is essential. The south stacks of Tampines GreenJade (Blk 957C and 957D) will be nearest to Bedok Reservoir, spelling cooler winds and convenience for park visitors. However, do be mindful that the views will eventually be blocked by a future high-rise residential development. 

For units with unblocked views, consider securing one of the flats at Blk 956A and 956B facing Temasek Polytechnic. The trade-off would be its proximity to the stadium, which may induce some levels of noise pollution.
