Located in Plantation district of the new Tengah town, Plantation Village is one of the latest Build-To-Order (BTO) housing estates in western Singapore to obtain TOP (temporary occupation permit) in recent months.

Located next to the MRT station and linked to the town’s first neighbourhood centre, this new BTO estate promises convenience to residents in time to come. In this article, we will take an in-depth fengshui review on Plantation Village to see how it fares in terms of residential fengshui. Read on!

Plantation Village: Landform Fengshui

Bounded along Tengah Drive and Plantation Crescent, Plantation Village resides on the Western Dragon, belonging to the fengshui formation of “Land of the Flower Basket”. It is believed that long-time residents in this region possess good looks and great talents. They are also often equipped with capabilities and growing wealth.

In terms of development, those who are working in creative-related businesses and educational institutions will do well here. Families and singles looking to strive in their career, especially females, can also consider this area.

Also, it is good to take note of the nearby fengshui formation of a pair of “Golden Boy and Jade Girl”, located respectively at Jurong East and Jurong West. Romance luck abounds in this area and singles can look forward to finding their ideal partners. Nonetheless, caution is needed to avoid love tragedies. In particular, married people must practise faithfulness, or one will share the same fate as the golden boy and jade girl who remain separated.

External fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

With the first neighbourhood centre set within Plantation Village, residents would be near to upcoming amenities such as a community club, shopping and dining options, and the Jurong Region Line MRT station. The estate – like others in Tengah town – is also designed with community and nature in mind.

The green spaces within the BTO development and the easy accessibility to amenities promises a conducive living space for the residents. Nevertheless, residents at Plantation Village can expect noises and heavier traffic during peak hours, especially for the stacks along Plantation Crescent and those near the neighbourhood centre. You are likely to encounter noise pollution (Sound Sha) due to the proximity to the MRT tracks. To reduce noise disturbances at home, you may consider installing sound-proof windows or curtains and blinds.

There are several bin centres within the BTO estate to take note of. One is located at block 129 and the other is at block 124. If your front door (especially those on the lower floor units) face the Bin Centre directly, your house will be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing even if the estate uses the Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System (PWCS).  If required, you may want to consult a professional fengshui practitioner for remedies to such a situation.

Plantation Village, like many other BTO developments in Tengah, will be surrounded by high-rise residential buildings as this new town is expected to develop rapidly within the next 20 years. As such, take note of future developments surrounding your home, as this indicates potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period.

High-rise buildings in proximity present a potential risk of conflicts such as Tian Zhan Sha (home’s frontage facing an opening between two or more building structures that funnel negative energies), corner Sha (角煞) where sharp corners present hidden threats or oppression, etc. If you encounter such scenarios, you may display a pair of guardian lions or Six Emperor Coins emblem to ward off the negative energies. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to consult a professional fengshui practitioner.

Internal fengshui considerations

Homeowners should bear in mind the main orientation of your house, as it will directly influence the overall luck of your household member(s). The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Plantation Village offers 1,429 units across 15 residential blocks of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4- and 5-room flats from 6 to 15 storeys.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in  the fengshui Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions.

The following table lists the Period 9 Auspicious Homes. Do you live in any of these units?

Note that there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.

This is especially if your unit is facing the less favourable directions such as East, West, Northeast or Southwest. Getting a reliable fengshui  consultation can help you to clear doubts and ensure that your household thrives in the current Period 9 .

Homeowners should also take note that if your unit faces your neighbour’s main door directly. From a fengshui viewpoint, such a layout may lead conflicting energies between both households to arise and affect harmony. As such, homeowners are recommended to place a grey arc-shaped carpet at your front door. Doing so can help you to neutralise negative energies and accumulate wealth.

Did you know?

If you have the habit of displaying photos at home, you should take note of the following points to ensure the health, well-being and wealth of your loved ones:

  • Your photos should not face the main door or window, as some problems from outdoors may reflect on the people in the photo(s) and affect emotions.
  • Don’t display your photos under the beam, as this may indirectly cause stress to people in the photo.
  • Placing photo(s) around the wealth position may easily cause wealth to be displaced, it’s best to display your photo(s) elsewhere.

Thrive in Period 9 with good home fengshui

As with most things in life, getting it right from the start will save you lots of effort. More than just the correct placement of furniture or avoiding certain colours, home fengshui looks into compatibility amongst the homeowners and your living spaces.

Well-located to various amenities, Plantation Village promises convenience in time to come. In terms of fengshui, it sits on a favourable fengshui land with several units facing an auspicious direction. For those whose units are facing East, West, Northeast or Southwest, or if you are planning to optimise your home layout to tap on the positive energies of Period 9, you may want to consult a fengshui master.
