Surrounded by existing public housing, blockage amidst the crowded environment also implies greater environmental noises [声煞] that can affect one’s health in the long run. Thankfully, higher floor units of Kallang Residences that overlook the existing private development along Jalan Ayer enjoy unblocked views and lesser noises.
In fengshui, the front of your dwelling represents the Red Phoenix, which also symbolises aspirations and a bright future. As such, unblocked views promise smooth flow of energy in the absence of points of conflict (sha). This is why people favour higher floor units or seafront living, as such options present a higher chance of getting unblocked views.
Some units at Kallang Residences may also get a glimpse of the Kallang River.
