In Singapore, the Five Dragon Landform Fengshui harnesses “hidden dragons”, which are man-made structures that channel energy flows. Bounded by Cassia Link, Jalan Satu, and Jalan Dua, Dakota One sits on the Eastern Dragon in Singapore’s district 14 in the precinct of Geylang.
This recently TOP-ed BTO is near the fengshui formation called “Water Centipede”. With a “spilt personality”, this water centipede consists of two sections.
The top half (from Kallang River to Lorong 37) is characterised by the Water element, which favours businesses. The lower half (from Lorong 37 to Geylang Serai) is dominated by the Earth element, hence is good for residences and proper businesses. The water centipede is a nocturnal creature, which explains the prevalence of nightspots in Geylang.

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Geylang, Dakota One promises easy accessibility to various amenities such as the community club, Dakota MRT Station, food centres, and places of worship. There are also two schools nearby.
Nevertheless, Geylang is known for its extreme traffic congestion and noises. Hence, homeowners can consider installing added sound insulation to minimise disturbances to daily life such as insomnia.
This is especially so with the Kong Hwa School sitting adjacent to Dakota One. Residents may encounter greater noises and heavier traffic during peak hours, especially for lower floor units at stack 137 and 139.
Residents should also take note of construction nearby or sites reserved for high-rise residential development. Bear in mind that high-rise buildings in proximity can present conflicting forces such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞).
The former occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. The latter occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. In such scenarios, it is best to consult a professional fengshui practitioner.

Homeowners should bear in mind the main orientation of your house, as it will directly influence the overall luck of your household member(s). The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
