Chencharu Vines: Landform fengshui
Bounded by Sembawang Road and Bah Soon Pah Road, Chencharu Vines lies on the Southern Dragon of Singapore at the fengshui formation of the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has benefited many well-known businessmen.
Residents in Yishun have high earning power and know how to enjoy their lives too. This northern district exudes a sense of tranquillity, which makes it a suitable location for self-cultivation.
Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Chencharu Vines comprises 7 residential blocks of 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room, and 5-room flats. In total, there are 848 units. The blocks range from 13 to 14 storeys in height.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.
We have categorised the units at Chencharu Vines under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

Warning Sign: These are on the boundary between 2 sectors of directions. Therefore, it is suggested to seek advice from a professional fengshui consultation for guidance.
There is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
This is especially if your unit is facing the less favourable directions such as East, West, Northeast, or Southwest. If in doubt, do consider getting a reliable fengshui consultation to ensure that you select a suitable unit so your household can thrive in Period 9.
External fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Featuring various amenities such as an eating house, supermarket, shops, preschool, and a residents’ network centre within the project, Chencharu Vines promises convenience literally at one’s doorsteps. However, potential homeowners should note that the vibrant environment implies greater human traffic and noises.
This is especially so with Chencharu Vines located near to the Sembawang Air Base and just across the road from a future school. Residents here can expect heavier traffic and noises during active school hours. Affected residents may consider installing sound insulation to reduce noise disturbances from the external environment.
When selecting a choice BTO unit, aspiring homeowners should also be mindful of units that are near to the lift or staircases, as (depending on proximity) this may respectively result in unstable magnetic field or unfavourable energies at home. Such situations could lead to household disharmony and health issues.
Also, stacks on lower storeys that are near or facing the bin centre directly are not recommended (eg. stacks 130, 132). If your front door faces the Bin Centre directly, your house is likely to be amongst the first to be affected by rubbish stench once the wind starts blowing.
Similar to Chencharu Green, Chencharu Vines residents should monitor your surroundings for conflicting forces (煞气). While this housing project looks well-spaced, there are 7 residentials blocks within the development. This BTO is also surrounded by sites reserved for future high-rise residential developments.
Hence, do keep a lookout for conflicting forces (煞气) such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞) when high-rise buildings are built in proximity to one another. The former Sha occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development.
Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞) occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. One must also be mindful of Constriction Sha, which occurs when air currents between two buildings converge to charge at one being sandwiched in between. As residents open their windows for ventilation, they will introduce these inauspicious energies to their home. Affected parties may become listless and pessimistic.
Should your main door be directly in the line of Constriction Sha, you may consider installing a partition or displaying plants at the entrance to deflect its flow.
Last but not least, as Chencharu is a developing area, several sites surrounding Chencharu Vines are undergoing construction. Successful applicants should stay wary of potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period. If required, consider consulting a professional fengshui practitioner for remedies to such a situation.
Did you know?
It is unadvisable to have your bedroom door facing the toilet door, and it’d be worse if your toilet door faces your bed directly. As the toilet is a place with moisture and stinky smell, the negative energy that flows directly into the bedroom due to inappropriate door positions will cause illness on bones and muscles. Over time, it may lead to a more serious illness as well as wealth loss.

At Chencharu Vines, the 3-, 4-, and 5-room floor plans show a toilet door facing a bedroom door directly. Homeowners may want to consider slight modifications to the layout or to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner for fengshui remedies.
The position of your toilet and where it faces is very important. It should not be directly facing your main door, kitchen door, or the bedroom door (as mentioned earlier).
Bear in mind that the toilet door is like a large hole, releasing negative energy, conflicting with the beneficial energy that enters via the main entrance, and it would affect your household members negatively.
Which fengshui BTO units to choose in Chencharu Vines?
Featuring various amenities amidst lush greenery, Chencharu Vines offer convenience and conducive living, especially for school-age families. In terms of fengshui, it sits on a propitious landform with many units facing the most auspicious directions in the current fengshui Period 9.
Nevertheless, its location near to the airbase implies noise pollution and there are some units that face the least favourable directions of Period 9. If you plan to choose a unit in Chencharu Vines, keep in mind that the unit should also be in a direction that suits your Bazi besides looking at the auspicious direction in the reigning luck cycle. A fengshui unit can help you to create a harmonious home, improve mood and energy, and attract opportunities and benefactors.
