Wondering if Chencharu Green could be your ideal fengshui home? Read on for our in-depth fengshui review to find out!

Chencharu Green: Landform fengshui

Bounded by Chencharu Link, Bah Soon Pah Road, and Bah Soon Pah Close, Chencharu Green lies on the Southern Dragon of Singapore at the fengshui formation of the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has benefited many well-known businessmen.

Residents in Yishun have high earning power and know how to enjoy their lives too. This northern district exudes a sense of tranquillity, which makes it a suitable location for self-cultivation.

Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Chencharu Green comprises 4 residential blocks of 15 storeys each, offering 683 units of 2-room Flexi, 4-room, and 5-room flats in total.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.

We have categorised the units at Chencharu Green under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

Warning Sign: These are on the boundary between 2 sectors of directions. Therefore, it is suggested to seek advice from a professional fengshui consultation for guidance.

There is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.

This is especially if your unit is facing less favourable directions such as, i.e. East, West, Northeast, or Southwest. If in doubt, do consider getting a reliable fengshui  consultation to ensure that you select a suitable unit so your household can thrive in Period 9.

External fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.

Located near Khatib MRT in a developing ‘village’ amidst the mature town of Yishun, Chencharu Green will be conveniently surrounded by amenities and services such as a neighbourhood park, school, nursing home and place of worship.

The site reserved for a place of worship next to this BTO development is along the upcoming Bah Soon Pah Close. Some stacks at Block 967B and 968A will overlook the place of worship. If you are concerned about staying near a temple or places of worship and wondering if there’s any fengshui implications, here’s our take:

There’s a saying in fengshui that states that having a temple in front of the house indicates poverty; at the rear of the house indicates wealth; on the left and right of the house indicates widowhood.

Temples are where devotees gather and perform acts of worship, hence it will congregate a strong force of energy that may cause a qi imbalance to its surroundings. It is also believed that temples will attract spirits and ghosts, making the area unfavourable for long-term dwellers.

Nevertheless, it is inaccurate to conclude the qi condition based on the temple alone. To evaluate the auspiciousness of an area, factors such as the house facing, distance from the temple, luck cycle of the residents etc. must be considered. An on-site fengshui assessment for each unit is needed to determine the effects of the temple on the dwelling. If in doubt, you may want to consult a professional  fengshui  master.

On the other side of Chencharu Green are sites reserved for future high-rise residential developments. Potential homeowners are advised to monitor your surroundings as one may encounter conflicting conflicting forces (煞气) such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞) when high-rise buildings are built in proximity to one another.

The former Sha occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞) occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure.

One must also be mindful of Constriction Sha, which occurs when air currents between two buildings converge to charge at one being sandwiched in between. As residents open their windows for ventilation, they will introduce these inauspicious energies to their home. Affected parties may become listless and pessimistic.

Should your main door be directly in the line of Constriction Sha, you may consider installing a partition or displaying plants at the entrance to deflect its flow.

Last but not least, as Chencharu is a developing area, Chencharu Green residents can expect on-going construction surrounding your home. Stay mindful of pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period. If required, consider consulting a professional  fengshui  practitioner for remedies to such a situation.

Did you know?

Events and happenings within a space create energy vibrations that can either be positive or negative. These are not limited to indoor spaces, but could also be infused into the estate that you plan to live in. Hence, it makes sense to understand the history of your to-be neighbourhood, especially recent happenings that could leave traces of remnant energies.

For your info, Chencharu was home to plantations and farms in the 1900s before it was redeveloped for various uses. Moving forward, Chencharu in Yishun will offer around 10,000 new homes by 2040, of which at least 80% will be set aside for public housing.

You are recommended to take a walk in the estate prior to selecting your flat. It is important to take note of features of surrounding buildings that may harbour threats of negative influences or hinder ventilation within your home. The main idea is to garner and ensure the smooth flow of positive Qi (energy) within your new home while avoiding Sha Qi (negative energies).

Sha Qi in the environment surrounding your home can manifest into loss of wealth, accidents, and sickness. If there are sharp edges pointed towards your potential home, then it is best to consider another unit or seek advice from a professional  fengshui  practitioner.

Also, did you know that Period 9 is influenced by a wealth star, indicating growing fortune and propitiousness? If your home faces North or South – the most auspicious directions in this fengshui period, consider seeking a fengshui  consultation for your home renovation so you and your household members can better grasp opportunities as well as create wealth.
