Chencharu Hills: Landform fengshui

Located along Lorong Chencharu in Yishun, Chencharu Hills lies on the Southern Dragon of Singapore at the fengshui formation of the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portrays an auspicious feng shui setting, which has benefited many well-known businessmen.
Residents in Yishun have high earning power and know how to enjoy their lives too. This northern district exudes a sense of tranquillity, which makes it a suitable location for self-cultivation.
Internal fengshui considerations

When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Chencharu Hills comprises 10 residential blocks ranging from 14 to 15 storeys. This upcoming BTO estate offers 1,277 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. It is recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap on the positive energies.
Note: While HDB announced that homes in this area will be oriented in the North-South direction, it may not necessarily be referring to the direction measured from the main entrance.
We have categorised the units at Chencharu Hills under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

*PS These are on the boundary between 2 sectors of directions. Therefore, it is suggested to seek advice from a professional fengshui consultation for guidance.
There is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
This is especially if your unit is facing less favourable directions such as, i.e. West, Northeast, or Southwest. If in doubt, do consider getting a reliable fengshui consultation to ensure that you select a suitable unit so your household can thrive in Period 9.
External fengshui considerations
As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Upon completion, Chencharu Hills will be the first BTO project located right next to a park in this new housing area within Yishun. The gentle undulating terrain here ensures smooth flow of qi, denoting fengshui auspiciousness.
Aspiring homeowners will be happy to know that Chencharu’s development will be guided by sustainable design strategies, where homes will be oriented in the North-South direction to improve natural ventilation and minimise direct sun exposure in homes. Coincidentally, this aligns with the most recommended fengshui Period 9 orientation where North and South are the most auspicious directions.
On the other hand, potential homeowners should note that Chencharu Hills will be surrounded by high-rise future developments. With several high-rise buildings densely packed together, there is greater likelihood of encountering conflicting conflicting forces (煞气) such as Sharp Edge Sha (尖角煞) and Wall Blade Sha (壁刀煞). The former occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure.
Such negative energies can result in increased anxiety and inability to concentrate, which may affect career and academic development. The latter occurs when a residential unit faces the sharp edge of a neighbouring structure. Hence, it may be worth considering a unit that faces the Sembawang country club golf course.
Based on the site plan, stacks 106, 120, 122, 148, 150, 180, 182, 196, 198, 210, 228, 230, 272, 288, and 290 are in close proximity to the centralised refuse chute. Stacks 276 and 278 are also near the Bin Centre. These stacks are not recommended as you may be affected by the rubbish stench when the wind blows, especially if rubbish is not disposed of properly.
If you are selecting a unit in one of these stacks, you must ensure that your front door does not face the refuse chute directly. If required, you may want to consult a professional fengshui practitioner for remedies to such a situation.
Did you know?
Events and happenings within a space create energy vibrations that can either be positive or negative. These are not limited to indoor spaces, but could also be infused into the estate that you plan to live in. Hence, it makes sense to understand the history of your to-be neighbourhood, especially recent happenings that could leave traces of remnant energies. For your info, Chencharu was home to plantations and farms in the 1900s before it was redeveloped for various uses.
Prior to selecting your house or flat, take a walk in the estate and take note of the features of surrounding buildings that may harbour threats of negative influences or hinder ventilation within your home. The main idea is to garner and ensure the smooth flow of positive Qi (energy) within your new home while avoiding Sha Qi (negative energies).
Sha Qi in the environment surrounding your home can manifest into loss of wealth, accidents, and sickness. If there are sharp edges pointed towards your potential home, then it is best to consider another unit or seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
Also, did you know that Period 9 is influenced by a wealth star, indicating growing fortune and propitiousness? If your home faces North or South – the most auspicious directions in this fengshui period, consider seeking a fengshui consultation for your home renovation so you and your household members can better grasp opportunities as well as create wealth.
Which fengshui BTO units to choose in Chencharu Hills?
While it is not the most accessible amongst the other BTO estates to be offered in HDB’s June BTO launch, Chencharu Hills holds potential as the new housing area gets developed on this propitious land during the fengshui Period 9. Nevertheless, those who are planning to choose a unit should consider the auspicious facing of your ideal fengshui home.
Besides selecting a unit that is auspicious in the reigning luck cycle, remember that the unit should also be in a direction that suits your bazi. A fengshui unit can help you to create a harmonious home, improve mood and energy, and attract opportunities and benefactors.
