Landform fengshui: Kebun Baru Breeze

In Singapore, the Five Dragon Landform Fengshui harnesses “hidden dragons”, which are man-made structures that channel energy flows. From the lens of fengshui, roads act as “dragon veins”, skyscrapers as “mountain dragons” offering stability and waterways serve as wealth-attracting “water dragons”.
The five auspicious dragons, namely Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central, along with the Singapore and Kallang Rivers, converge to drive the city’s growth and prosperity, with each dragon influencing a region’s success.
Bounded by Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and Ang Mo Kio Rise, Kebun Baru Breeze is near the stable torso of the Southern Dragon, also known as the “Wealth Dragon”. Being near the Wealth Dragon’s body indicates stable qi flow, which is ideal for long-term residence or business. This also implies that people staying in this region enjoy central support and nurturing strength.
Landform fengshui: Kebun Baru Breeze

Kebun Baru Breeze is part of the fengshui land formation known as “Five Ghosts Transporting Treasures”, which benefits the commercial sector. Residents who are doing business here are likely to succeed. The auspiciousness of Ang Mo Kio is further enhanced by its proximity to the “Elephant Sucking Water” land (Peirce Reservoir).
However, residents may face fluctuating fortunes as the ‘five ghosts’ only formed a semi-circle, indicating wealth leakage. One must learn to be more prudent in managing finances. The ideal orientation for houses in Ang Mo Kio is the South, which happens to be the most favourable direction in the current fengshui Period 9.
Exterior fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Sitting between Mayflower MRT station and Bright Hill MRT station, Kebun Baru Breeze in Ang Mo Kio’s mature town offers its residents easy access to the scenic Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park at the South. This Plus project is anticipated to be popular with young families as there are several schools nearby, including CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School and Aitong School within 1 km.
The naming of Kebun Baru Breeze follows nearby developments such as Kebun Baru Edge, Kebun Baru Court and Kebun Baru View. The term ‘Breeze’ reflects the nearby Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Lower Pierce Reservoir.
While the latter is part of the inspiration behind the name, Lower Peirce Reservoir sits several kilometres from the site and isn’t close enough to factor meaningfully into the property’s fengshui. The water influence that matters here comes from Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and the Kallang River running through it, which are nearer to the development.
Stacks along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 have both their pros and cons. On one hand, these Plus flats face Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, which means unblocked views. Even mid-to-low floors should get a reasonably open outlook over greenery, with higher floors faring even better.
In fengshui, unblocked views are favoured as it represents the Red Phoenix, symbolising aspirations and a bright future. Such a smooth flow of energy and better natural lighting in the absence of points of conflict (sha) is essential. This is why people favour higher floor units or seafront living, as such options present a higher chance of getting unblocked views.
Nevertheless, aspiring homeowners should stay aware that Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 is a major road. Stacks that face the road directly will encounter “Sound Sha” (noise pollution). In fengshui, constant loud traffic creates chaotic energy that can lead to restless sleep and anxiety. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
Last but not least, there is a 6-storey Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) within Kebun Baru Breeze. Some stacks, such as 215, 217, 233 and 235, face the MSCP directly. Lower-floor units of these stacks are likely to be affected by conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars. As this could cause disturbances to daily life, such as insomnia, quality soundproofing is essential.
Internal fengshui considerations
When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that a house’s main orientation will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can typically be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Kebun Baru Breeze comprises two residential blocks with a total of 579 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-room and 4-room flats. 1 of the blocks will also include another 58 rental units. Each block is 30 storeys high.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the Period 9 and 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions. You are recommended to choose a unit that faces either of these directions or lies at the border of these directions to tap into the positive energies.
We have categorised these Plus flats at Kebun Baru Breeze under the Period 9 Auspicious Home Ranking chart, as listed below.

All units at Kebun Baru Breeze potentially face the most auspicious directions of the current fengshui period. However, all stacks lie on the boundary between two directions, indicated with the warning sign. Aspiring homebuyers should consider getting a professional fengshui consultation for guidance.
Selecting a suitable flat for first-time homeowners could be daunting. If in doubt, you may like to leave it to the professionals. Way Fengshui provides end-to-end fengshui services from selecting an ideal unit to helping you create a harmonious environment in your new home.
Did you know?
In fengshui, an ideal home layout is square or rectangular, free from missing corners and naturally balanced. Such a design supports the smooth flow of qi throughout the home, unlike irregular layouts that may disrupt harmony. This bodes well for potential homeowners of Kebun Baru Breeze.
At the same time, attention should be given to the centre point of the home, also known as the Central Palace. This sector represents emotional stability within the household and should remain a passive space where qi flows gently, allowing family members to enjoy peace and balance. A kitchen, toilet, or stove should not occupy this central area.
For BTO flats, interior modifications may be limited, and renovations can add extra cost. Fortunately, fengshui remedies exist to counter or minimise negative impacts. A professional fengshui practitioner can identify areas of concern and recommend solutions to help households maintain safety and harmony in their new home.
Did you know that Period 9 is influenced by a wealth star? This indicates growing fortune and propitiousness, just like the current Period 8. However, the Fire element guiding Period 9 is less stable than the Earth element of Period 8. If you are planning to conduct a home renovation to tap into the energies of Period 9, consider a fengshui consultation to ensure the benefits are optimised.
