5 Things You Wish You Knew About the Fengshui of Your Children’s Bedroom

Children’s Bedroom

A child is often the apple of his/her parents’ eyes, and most parents would stop at nothing to ensure the best for their child.

As such, it is only natural for parents to invest in their children’s future, be it through tuition classes, artistic development, or athletic programmes. More often than not, we wish there’s something more we can do for our children.

It’s during moments like these that parents turn to fengshui for help. Every child is born unique, and we believe in catering to the needs of every parent and child.

However, before you delve deep into the profound world of fengshui, here are some things you can do on your own to improve the fengshui of your children’s bedroom!

1) Maintain the cleanliness of your children’s room

For both fengshui and practical reasons, keep your children’s room neat and tidy at all times. In fact, maintain the cleanliness of your entire house if you can. After all, fengshui is never about one specific location of your house. It concerns the overall setup and layout of your house.

A clean environment will be more conducive for studying, and can help facilitate the thinking process, improving their concentration.

2) The presence of a study table

One popular fengshui myth among parents goes a little something like this:

“Without a study table, your children will not be able to perform well in their studies!”

-And we still have no idea where this baseless rumour came from.

While it is true that having a study table can help with your children’s academic performance, there’s nothing denoting the vice versa. What’s important is that your children is able to study comfortably, be it on the floor or on the bed.

If you must, consider placing the study table inside the living room or the studies. This way, it would also be easier for you to monitor your child’s progress.

3) Wen Chang position and items

While we are on the topic of study tables, you may want to adjust the position of the study table and display items related to Wen Chang Academic Star at the Wen Chang position.

In 2018, the Wen Chang Academic Star lies in the Southwest, so it’ll be good for your study table to face said direction. For maximum effect, you may want to consider displaying a Wen Chang Pagoda in the Southwestern corner of your study table.

On top of that, for those of you who would like your children to bring the positive effects of the Wen Chang pagoda wherever they go,consider getting them the Wen Chang Pencil Case.

4) Avoid air conditioning and television

This may seem like a no-brainer, but constant exposure to cold temperature is inherently detrimental to your children’s health.

Leaving the air conditioning on for a prolonged period of time is also bad for the circulation of air inside the room, so remember to swing the windows open every now and then for some fresh air. Besides, sensitive as they are, children are more likely to catch a flu due to the low temperature.

Falling sick is a sure fire way to affect your children’s studies, and it will do you well to avoid that. The same goes for having a television set inside your children’s room, as it may distract your children and directly affect their studies.

5) Colour and design of your children’s room

This one is a little trickier compared to the previous points as it involves the Bazi of your children. Here’s how it works:

– Children with “hot” Bazi should keep their room simple and employ cold colours like light blue.

– Children with “cold” Bazi should have intricate designs for their rooms and employ warmer colours like red.

So, how can we find out if our children have “cold” or “hot” Bazi?

As a general guideline, children born during colder seasons like Winter have “cold” Bazi and children born during warmer seasons like Spring have “hot” Bazi.

However, we would strongly recommend that you look for a Master of Bazi and fengshui to help you out with the situation, as it is always better to cater to the personal needs of each individual child.

More often than not, it is up to the parents to decide the fengshui setup of your children’s bedroom. While trying to improve the fengshui, make sure to respect the wishes of your children.

After all, it is still more important to maintain a harmonious relationship with your children.
