Yishun Beacon, launched under HDB’s May 2022 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise, sits next to Yishun MRT station and bus interchange. Despite its non-mature estate classification, the project’s proximity to a wide range of amenities made it a popular choice at launch. These flats have recently received their Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP). Congratulations to all homeowners collecting your keys!
As you settle in, consider how quality fengshui can harmonise your living space to support health, relationships and prosperity. Curious about the fengshui of Yishun Beacon? Read on for our in-depth review.
Landform fengshui: Yishun Beacon in District 27 (D27)

In Singapore, the Five Dragon Landform Fengshui harnesses “hidden dragons”, which are man-made structures that channel energy flow. From the lens of fengshui, roads act as “dragon veins”, skyscrapers as “mountain dragons” offering stability and waterways serve as wealth-attracting “water dragons”.
The five auspicious dragons, namely Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central, along with the Singapore and Kallang Rivers, converge to drive the city’s growth and prosperity, with each dragon influencing a region’s success.
Bounded by Yishun Central 1 and Yishun Avenue 2, Yishun Beacon sits near the body of the Southern Dragon, also known as the “Wealth Dragon”. Close proximity to a dragon’s body indicates stable qi flow, which is ideal for long-term residence or business. This also implies that people staying in this region enjoy central support and nurturing strength.
Landform fengshui: Yishun Beacon in D27

Yishun Beacon is part of the fengshui formation known as the “Land of Collapsed Plum Blossom”. The flower and stem of the plum blossom, along with the Lower Seletar Reservoir as the backdrop, portray an auspicious fengshui setting, which has benefited many well-known businessmen.
Yishun residents are believed to have strong earning potential and a good quality of life. This northern district exudes a sense of tranquillity, which makes it a suitable location for self-cultivation.

Exterior fengshui considerations

Located within walking distance of Yishun MRT station, Yishun Bus Interchange and Northpoint City, Yishun Beacon offers strong connectivity to amenities including Yishun Pond Park, Yishun Community Hospital and Yishun Swimming Complex.
That said, units along Yishun Avenue 2 can expect heavy traffic noise during peak hours, as well as above-ground MRT noise.
In fengshui, a cross junction is a source of Sha Qi (conflict energy). At Yishun Beacon, the junction where Yishun Avenue 2, Yishun Avenue 3 and Yishun Central converge sits near Block 936E. While some green buffering is present, lower-floor units at stack 186 remain exposed to this potential poison arrow. Residents here should take appropriate precautions.
From a practical standpoint, facing a cross junction also brings increased traffic, which can translate to light pollution from oncoming headlights at night, and Sound Sha. Soundproof windows, curtains or blinds can help mitigate both.
Yishun Community Hospital sits adjacent to Yishun Beacon. Stacks 138, 140, 156, 158, 164 and 166 along Yishun Central 2 face the hospital directly, and are likely to encounter Sound Sha [声煞] and Light Sha [光煞] given that hospitals operate around the clock.
Being a community hospital rather than a general hospital, residents need not worry about emergency sirens at all hours. Nonetheless, hospitals carry Yin energy by nature, and proximity to one may cause unease for some, potentially manifesting as physical or mental fatigue over time.
Yishun Beacon is flanked by existing housing on multiple sides, with an upcoming high-rise development to its northeast. This high-density environment can compress qi, making interior remedies important for restoring balance.
Residents should monitor their surroundings, as nearby high-rise buildings may introduce negative influences or impede ventilation. The goal is to ensure smooth qi flow within the home while minimising exposure to Sha Qi (negative energy).
Sha Qi from the surrounding environment can manifest as wealth loss, accidents and illness. Units with sharp edges or poison arrows directed at them warrant careful consideration. Seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner if you have doubts.
Last but not least, residents at lower-floor units near the 7-storey Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) should take note. Stacks 100, 102, 118, 120, 146, 148, 188, 190, 192, 194 face the MSCP directly, and lower-floor units of these stacks are likely to be affected by conflicting forces (煞气) such as noise pollution (噪音) and headlight flashes from moving cars. As this could cause disturbances to daily life, such as insomnia, quality soundproofing is essential.
Internal fengshui considerations
Homeowners should bear in mind the main orientation of your house, as it will directly influence the overall luck of your household member(s). The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Did you know?
Your bedroom decor says a lot about your personal life, and it can also cast an influence on certain aspects of your life. Avoid hanging paintings or large photographs above the bed, as that can produce the same threatening energy of an overhead beam.
For those who are looking to enhance romance, you should display family photos in other rooms. Singles should opt for artwork that depicts or comes in pairs over those that spell individualism.
When positioning your bed for fengshui, take note that the bed should never be pointed with its feet towards the door. This is known as the “coffin position”, which can drain your energy if you sleep in it.
Also, your bedroom door should not be parallel to any part of the bed. This helps to prevent energy from flowing to your bed too quickly, which can be unsettling and disruptive to your sleep. A good rule of thumb is to place the bed diagonally from the bedroom door.
