How to Know if Certain Fengshui Tips are Reliable? Here are 5 Things You Should Take Note of
The internet is a modern miracle.
It’s a digital platform, connecting people from all around the world. While you’re reading this article, another person residing in a different country might also be viewing this very article.
And here we are, using it to look at cute cat videos and memes on a daily basis. Worst of all- there are poor, gullible folks out there are spreading unsubstantiated viral articles with the help of social media.
Every now and then, one of these articles will probably appear before your eyes, containing alleged “fengshui tips and tricks”, the worst nightmare of all fengshui professionals.
As such, here are 5 things you should know about the fengshui tips you see online.
1) Check your sources
For starters, how would you know if the fengshui tips you’re currently reading can be trusted?
For Way Fengshui’s case, we consult our fengshui Masters for their professional advice before offering our readers any form of lifestyle tips.
A random article you find online probably doesn’t cite its sources. And unless you’ve been sleeping in classes- you should know better than to trust an article with no reliable sources.
2) Lack of Knowledge
Just so you know, most of these random fengshui articles are written with minimal knowledge on the subject. Trust me when I say my colleagues and I initially had a hearty laugh when we were reading one of these articles.
However, it soon became obvious to us that articles that are not cited are doing more harm than good to the general populace. These articles are also the reason why there are people out there going bankrupt from buying emblems.
3) In for the profits
So, why would anyone bother to write such an article? Wouldn’t it be a waste of their time? Case in point, pay attention to the amount of adverts you’re seeing on the website.
The article’s probably surrounded by adverts, accompanied by numerous pop-ups. Every time you click on one of these articles, you’re aiding their festering growth. In other words, they probably do not care about the accuracy of their content- all they care about is for you to scroll through and share the article around.
4) Preying on your curiosity
While those belonging to the younger generation might not be sharing random and dubious articles in group chats, I am fairly certain those from the older generation still do.
If you were to open up any family group chats, you’re sure to be greeted with shady links and articles with click bait titles. So, do your family and friends a favour and advise against the propagation of such materials before your parents become anti-vaxxers.
5) Ripping you off
Last but not least, these people are probably trying to rip you off. After reading an article telling you about how you need to buy certain emblems for your house, you will most likely see a conveniently placed link at the bottom of the page. And lo and behold, they are selling said products.
Don’t get us wrong. We’re okay with entrepreneurs selling their products with the help of promotional materials. However, most of these dubious websites are probably selling these emblems for ridiculously jacked up prices, preying on your insecurity after you’ve read the article.
Don’t fall for their traps- always compare the prices and quality of the goods before buying anything!
In conclusion:
Fengshui tips you see online might be fun to read, but remember to take it with a pinch of salt. After all, we have to take various factors like your Bazi and home orientation into account too.
Remember, when it comes to fengshui, the best thing for you to do is still to engage a fengshui Master for their professional opinion.
