The Avenir: Landform Fengshui
Located at River Valley Close, The Avenir is in the precinct of Orchard/River Valley in close proximity to the Singapore River. From a fengshui perspective, the new development resides on the Central Dragon, aka the Affluence Dragon.

In fact, the River Valley Primary School is just next to this new freehold development. While this spells convenience for the residents, especially school-age families, it also means a more crowded housing environment, heavier traffic and potential Sha (conflicts). Residents can expect noises and heavier traffic during peak hours.
The gentle sloping River Valley Close road works in the favour of The Avenir, as it fulfils the criteria of the Green Dragon sector (left side of the development) to be higher than the White Tiger sector (on the right). Aligning with the fengshui formation of “High Left, Low Right”, it means that this new residential development can be further enhanced with the right fengshui arrangement.
While there are many high-rise private developments surrounding The Avenir, some units will get to enjoy views of the Singapore River. In landscape fengshui, a household is considered auspicious and blessed with prosperity and abundance if you can see flowing water from your living room, especially if there is a large door or window that allows an inflow of energy from the river across your home.

Most units at The Avenir face North or South, which are the most auspicious directions in the current fengshui period. While Stack 01 and 02 face the 2nd most auspicious directions in Period 9, they happen to be at the borderline, inching towards East/West orientation, which calls for further fengshui analysis.
Based on the site plan, some units seem to be facing each other directly (e.g. Stack 08, 09, 10, and 11). In fengshui, if your main door faces your neighbour’s main door directly, conflicting energies between both households may arise and affect harmony. In such a scenario, it is recommended to place a grey arc-shaped carpet at your front door. Doing so can help you to neutralise negative energies and accumulate wealth.
If your main door faces the balcony directly, there may also be challenges to accumulating auspicious energies, especially if you’re on a high floor. In such a scenario, household members may find that money comes and goes easily if measures are not made to better contain the positive energies.
