Completed in 2020, SkyParc @ Dawson is one of the award-winning high-rise flats with stunning greenery views in a central location. Being part of a Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS) project, this means that some units are already available for sale even though the MOP should be in 2025.

In landscape fengshui, unblocked views are favoured as it represents the Red Phoenix, symbolising aspirations and a bright future. Let’s take an in-depth home fengshui review on this early MOP-ed housing development to assess its fengshui qualities beyond its central location and unblocked views. Read on!

SkyParc @ Dawson: Landform Fengshui

Bounded by Dawson Road and Kay Siang Road, SkyParc @ Dawson is located at Queenstown within Singapore’s District 3. From a fengshui viewpoint, it sits on the Western Dragon and falls under the fengshui formation of the “Land of White Horse”, characterised by enthusiasm and loyalty.

Long-time residents of the horse land shall benefit from its positive energies and attain success on their career front. However, one should not overlook the horse’s shortcomings such as being over-ambitious and lacking determination. The latter could result in failures and cause one to lose fighting spirit.

The energetic nature of the horse makes Queenstown an ideal place for business start-ups while those who wish to hold on to existing businesses may find it challenging.

Exterior fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a resale flat.

Beyond its convenient location, SkyParc @ Dawson has been lauded for its green landscaping where there is an average of more than 50% green cover. In addition to 80 conserved mature trees, more than 4,300 new trees from over 70 species have been planted in the Dawson estate – providing green and sustainable living.

However, potential resale unit buyers of SkyParc @ Dawson may want to refrain from selecting a lower-floor unit that is close to trees and plants. Plants may be a symbol of vitality and growth, but it can introduce unwanted pests into our homes if they are too close to entrances. Besides that, trees can also deflect incoming auspicious energies. If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to seek advice from a professional  fengshui  practitioner.

Stacks facing Kay Siang Road enjoy unblocked greenery views at the moment. This is great as it reduces the probability of encountering certain fengshui conflicts. However, the site directly across to SkyParc @ Dawson is reserved for future high-rise residential buildings, presenting the threat of blocking those spectacular views that homeowners paid a hefty price for.

Where fengshui is concerned, one must be careful of potential conflict points, as well as pollution and negative energies (Sha Qi) during the construction period.

Also, high-rise buildings in proximity can harbour conflicts such as Tian Zhan Sha (home’s frontage facing an opening between two or more building structures that funnel negative energies) or corner Sha (角煞) where sharp corners present hidden threats, etc. For appropriate fengshui measures, it is best to consult a professional  fengshui  master.

Did you know that the main orientation of your house will directly influence the overall luck of your household member(s)? The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

SkyParc @ Dawson comprises 3 residential blocks ranging from 34 to 43 storeys in height. In total, there are 810 units of 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats. Some of these units are already available for resale while the rest will meet the MOP in 2025.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063), followed by Northwest and Southeast. We have identified the Period 9 Auspicious Homes below. Do you live in any of these units?

All units at SkyParc @ Dawson face North/South, which is ideal in terms of home fengshui in the current Period 9 and Period 1. To further enhance one’s luck cycle during these periods, residents can display emblems with the Water element, such as a water feature to “cool” your home. Take note to avoid Fire-related designs.

Nevertheless, all units here have the issue of the main door facing the neighbour’s main door. From a home fengshui viewpoint, conflicting energies between both households may arise and affect harmony when two main entrances face each other directly. To remedy the situation, display a round light in between the two doors, or hang a Super 5 Shield at the top of your door frame.

Did you know?

Money is not everything, but without it, you can hardly do anything, especially with increasing inflation. For those who are focused on building your wealth, you may want to be more mindful of your wealth position, as well as the shoe shelf, in your home.

The wealth position refers to a place where wealth accumulates. Hence, the space surrounding your wealth position must be kept clean and tidy. There should not be clutter, electrical appliances or sharp objects around or at your wealth position. There is heavy Sha (煞气) aka negative energies where the shoe shelf is located. Hence, your wealth luck will be affected if your shoe shelf directly faces your wealth position.

Some people unknowingly positioned their shoe shelf at their wealth position. When this happens, their wealth is likely to disperse and one may find that it is difficult to accumulate wealth. Should this happen, it is best to shift the shoe shelf or avoid placing shoes within the rack. Curious to learn more about your wealth position at home?
