Source: Sol Acres
Sol Acres, located in Choa Chu Kang, was allegedly the largest Executive Condominium (EC) in Singapore at the time of its launch back in 2015. Completed in 2018, this 99-year leasehold EC will reach its Minimum Occupancy Period (MOP) this year.
Should you be looking for a resale EC in the northwestern part of Singapore, Sol Acres is one of the various options. So, let’s take a closer look at the fengshui aspects to determine if it could be your ideal fengshui home. Read on!
Sol Acres: Landform Fengshui
Located along Choa Chu Kang Grove, Sol Acres EC is in Choa Chu Kang (district 23), which has attractive shopping amenities and housing options. Based on fengshui, Choa Chu Kang marks the point where the mighty Central and Western Dragons meet, making it an extremely auspicious land.
This region has the fengshui formation known as the “Homes of the Flying Swallows”. Being migratory birds, the swallows tend to take flight during different seasons. Hence, those living on this swallow land shall have great opportunities to travel far and frequently. This is also a good region for those pursuing a career in diplomacy or politics.
As swallows can also fly in different directions, couples may experience time away from each other due to work commitments. With that in mind, spouses must have strong faith in each other and always try to keep harmony in mind.
Internal fengshui considerations
When it comes to choosing an ideal unit, keep in mind that the main orientation of a house will directly influence the overall luck of its residents. The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.
Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in the upcoming Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063), and Northwest and Southeast are the second most auspicious directions.
The Sol Acres EC comprises a total of 1,327 units across 13 blocks ranging from 19 to 25 storeys in height. Potential homeowners have a choice of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom units.
While most of the units at the Sol Acres EC face the above mentioned favourable directions, the exact orientation actually falls on the border of two directions; i.e. North/Northeast or South/Southwest. One should note that Northeast and Southwest are deemed to be less favourable in Period 9.
Hence, to ensure auspicious tidings beyond 2024, it is recommended that residents implement fengshui remedies to help garner auspicious energies. If you aren’t sure of what to do, don’t hesitate to seek a professional fengshui practitioner for advice, especially for those in Southwest facing units.

Exterior fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a new home.
Located a mere 3-minute walk from Teck Whye LRT station, Sol Acres EC offers easy accessibility in terms of public transport. Being one of the larger EC in Singapore, it also comes well-equipped with many facilities such as a table tennis pavilion, tennis court, gym, a 50m swimming pool, rollerblading trail and more.
Sol Acres EC’s relatively high urban density implies higher human traffic and noise, especially during peak hours. Hence, those who value peace and quiet should consider higher floor units.
From a fengshui perspective, being in proximity to surrounding buildings also presents the risk of common landform conflicts such as sharp corners of nearby buildings that can create oppression. Hence, it is always worthwhile to do a physical site visit prior to your property purchase.
One should note that ITE College West is located next to Sol Acres along Choa Chu Kang Grove road. Residents (especially those at Blk 2, 12 and 14) are likely to be affected by noises during active school hours. Hence, you should consider carefully when selecting a unit. Sound insulation could be an option to reduce noise disturbances from the external environment.
Also, stacks along Keat Hong Link (Blk 14, 16 and 18 in particular) face Keat Hong Verge – which is an upcoming HDB development under construction. Residents or potential homeowners are likely to encounter noise pollution during the day, and should pay attention to avoid any negative energies or direct conflicts. If in doubt, always seek advice from a professional fengshui practitioner.
Last but not least, there’s an ESSO petrol station that is located very near Sol Acres EC. Depending on wind direction at different periods within the year, residents may need to beware of petroleum fumes blowing in the direction of their home. As such, it is best to avoid lower units of the nearby blocks (i.e. 6, 24 and 26) for health purposes.
Did you know?
Most, if not all of us, should probably have no doubt when it comes to understanding the destructive relationship between fire and water. In the world of fengshui, this is no exception.
As such, having a stove directly facing your water basin in the kitchen is considered detrimental to the fengshui of the household. This could adversely affect the health of your family, with the negative effects being the most prominent on the female owner.

This undesirable situation could be remedied during the renovation of your home, by relocating either the stove or the water basin. Should this be impractical, you could consider keeping a potted plant right beside the water basin. This will allow creative relationships between water, wood, and fire to be formed.
Which fengshui units to choose in Sol Acres EC?
While prospective homeowners might be spoilt for choices when it comes to Choa Chu Kang, one should always take into account the convenience and accessibility of the housing project.
After all, picking a house is most likely a permanent decision. Take your time to make your decision and ensure that everyone involved is agreeable. When in doubt, it’s always good to seek professional opinions from a fengshui master.
Getting it right from the start will save you lots of effort. Selecting a fengshui resale unit can help you to create a harmonious home, improve mood and energy, and attract opportunities and benefactors. Learn more here.
