Serangoon reflects the formation of “Imperial Scholar Perusing a Scroll (翰林欢卷)”. Grand Master Tan suggested for the bungalow to be built in the form of an imperial seal, signifying stability in business and general well-being of one’s family. As the owner of the bungalow works in an industry belonging to the Metal Element, the façade of the bungalow was designed to appear lustrous. Curvy designs were also employed to weaken the negative energy stemming from a nearby lamp post and the building edge in front of the house.
