Tampines GreenFlora: Landform Fengshui

Tampines GreenFlora is bounded by Tampines Street 85, Tampines Street 86, and Tampines Avenue 8. From a fengshui perspective, this relatively new housing development resides on the Eastern Dragon and belongs to the propitious landform of “Talented Scholar and Ravishing Beauty”.

This is an ideal residential area for those in the creative industry. As there is high potential of cultivating talent here, young families will benefit greatly from the auspicious energies of this formation.

Tampines is also situated near the head of the Eastern Dragon, a majestic creature capable of helping inhabitants within its land to soar to greater heights. As those who possess talent and beauty may develop an “arrogant exterior”, Grand Master Tan Khoon Yong of Way Fengshui Group shared that more efforts must be made to maintain harmonious relationships. Otherwise, a breakthrough will be difficult to achieve without putting in effort.

Besides, homeowners should take caution against illnesses. The seasonal northeast monsoon will cause temperature to fluctuate and people with poor constitutions are susceptible to catching a cold. As such, warm colours (i.e. red or cream) are recommended in interior design and decorations while cool colours (i.e. blue, green, etc) should be avoided.

Growing more plants can help to dispense the cold too. This is ideal in the case of Tampines GreenFlora, which was designed to nestle within lush greenery.

Exterior fengshui considerations

As one’s external environment accounts for more than interior considerations, it is important to consider features of the surrounding space when selecting a resale flat.

Named after the lush landscaping concept of the development, Tampines GreenFlora is surrounded by greenery that offers an idyllic respite for residents in the highly populated town of Tampines. Being immersed in nature certainly promises conducive living, but potential resale unit buyers are reminded to refrain from selecting a unit that is close to trees and plants.

Plants may be a symbol of vitality and growth, but it can also introduce unwanted pests into our homes if they are too close to entrances. Besides that, trees can also deflect incoming auspicious energies.

Located within walking distance to various amenities such as  Tampines Hub, Tampines Central Park, schools and supermarkets, this 2025 MOP housing project promises convenience minus the hustle and bustle of being in the neighbourhood centre. On the other hand, Tampines GreenFlora is surrounded by high-rise residential developments.

Residents should be mindful of  potential Sha (conflicts), as high-rise buildings in proximity present a potential risk of conflicts such as Tian Zhan Sha (home’s frontage facing an opening between two or more building structures that funnel negative energies), corner Sha (角煞) where sharp corners present hidden threats, etc.

If you encounter such scenarios, don’t hesitate to consult a professional  fengshui  master for appropriate fengshui measures.

Cross-junction roads are also potential landform obstructions that could bring Sha Qi. Stacks 22 and 24 at Blk 874C may be affected by the cross junction of Tampines Street 84, 85, and Tampines Ave 8. Nevertheless, one will not be affected if your home is located on a higher floor.

Last but not least, lower floor units (below 7 storeys) that are facing the multi-storey car park (MSCP) directly should be mindful of light and noise pollution, particularly stack 2, and 14, whose living room and bedrooms face the MSCP. Excessive Light Sha and Sound Sha can increase stress and blood pressure levels. Worse still, it can even lead to insomnia.

To counter this, our fengshui  masters propose the use of soundproofing technology in one’s personal space, especially for bedrooms. Additionally, homeowners can install thick curtains to reduce noise levels.

Internal fengshui considerations

Did you know that the main orientation of your house will directly influence the overall luck of your household member(s)? The house orientation refers to the facing of your house, which can be measured from the main entrance where qi flows in.

Tip: There’s a Luopan (fengshui compass) in the Way Almanac App! Feel free to download our complimentary app to measure your home orientation.

Tampines GreenFlora comprises three 15-storey residential blocks that have 319 units in total. Standing at 15 storey high, there are  4-, 5-room, and 3 Gen flats in each block.

Based on fengshui analysis, North and South are the most auspicious directions in Period 9 and Period 1 (years 2024 – 2063), followed by Northwest and Southeast. We have identified the Period 9 Auspicious Homes below. Do you live in any of these units?

Warning Sign: These are on the boundary between 2 sectors of directions. Therefore, it is suggested to seek advice from a professional fengshui  consultation for guidance.

Some units at Tampines GreenFlora face North/South or Northwest/Southeast, which is ideal in terms of home fengshui in the current Period 9 and Period 1. To further enhance one’s luck cycle during these periods, residents can display emblems with the Water element, such as a water feature to “cool” your home. Take note to avoid Fire-related designs.

While there is no fixed lucky direction that caters to everyone, existing homeowners of units facing the less favourable directions or aspiring resale flat buyers seeking such units may want to seek further opinions.

In case you were wondering, it’s never too late to review your Bazi compatibility with your home or get a 2nd opinion to improve your home fengshui. Way Fengshui provides professional residential fengshui services with the ultimate aim of helping you to create a harmonious environment in your new home.

Did you know?

Events and happenings within a space create energy vibrations that can either be positive or negative. These are not limited to indoor spaces, but could also be infused into the estate that you plan to live in. Hence, it makes sense to understand the history of your to-be neighbourhood, especially recent happenings that could leave traces of remnant energies.

Located in the eastern region of Singapore, Tampines used to be a farming and fishing village with coconut palms, rubber and fruit trees, streams and ponds. Up till the 1970s, sand quarries existed in Tampines. Today, it is Singapore’s first eco town. Tampines Hub, which is Singapore’s first integrated community and lifestyle hub, is within walking distance from Tampines GreenFlora.

Prior to selecting a property, it is recommended to check out the estate and take note of the features of surrounding buildings that may harbour threats of negative influences or hinder ventilation within your home. The main idea is to garner and ensure the smooth flow of positive Qi (energy) within your new home while avoiding Sha Qi (negative energies).

Sha Qi in the environment surrounding your home can manifest into loss of wealth, accidents, and sickness. If there are sharp edges pointed towards your potential home, then it is best to consider another unit or seek advice from a professional  fengshui  practitioner.

Also, established residential estates contain stronger ground energies than newer ones. Mixing old and new house developments together will allow newer estates to “absorb” the land’s energies at a faster rate.

Tampines GreenFlora is nestled within the mature estate of Tampines, next to existing and new residential developments and amenities. This spells great potential for this 2025 MOP project to flourish together with its neighbours.

Thrive in Period 9 with good home fengshui

As with most things in life, getting it right from the start will save you lots of effort. More than just the correct placement of furniture or avoiding certain colours, home fengshui looks into compatibility amongst the homeowners and your living spaces.

Tampines GreenFlora looks relatively promising in terms of its favourable fengshui landform. Nevertheless, several units are facing a less favourable direction in the current Period 9. A detailed on-site analysis would be required to determine the house compatibility with homeowner’s Bazi suitability.

To ensure you and your household members thrive consistently in Period 9, don’t hesitate to contact Way Fengshui Consultancy for your home fengshui needs.
